On the walk home We stop off at the dollar store to pick up a duffel bag. Once we are home i pack the little belongings I have quickly since my flight leaves in 2 hours. My real parents arranged for an airport taxi to pick me up so I don't have to walk to the airport.
Once I get to the airport Jane says her good byes and the last thing she says is that Rainey you are a stronger and more beautiful than you think. It's not really a big deal since she says that every morning but today I feel as if she's right. Apparently my real parents are rich because I have first class tickets and unlimited food options. I first order 8 mozzarella sticks and a sprite. Halfway through the 4th mozzarella stick I doze off. I dream that someone is hugging me tightly and telling me everything will be alright. I wake up to the flight attendant telling me that the plane has landed and I must exit the plane now. As I'm gathering my duffle bag I realize that I have no idea who I'm looking for and I have no cell phone so there's no way to reach Jane now. I remember that Jane and my mom are twin sisters hopefully identical so I can try to spot them that way. As I walk towards the exit of the airport losing hope, I see a sign that has my name on it RAINEY SMITT well I guess that's me. As I approach the sign I see the woman that looks exactly like Jane except for she has braids instead of straight hair. If not for that I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference. She's holding a guy's hand he's tall has a nicely trimmed hair and he had the same huge nose as I do. I'm guessing these are my parents. They have smiles the size of Texas on there faces its kind of creepy. "Hello I'm Rainey" I say when I'm close enough. The woman who I'm guessing is my mom speaks first "oh my Rainey has grown so much she's so beautiful she'll be a great spy" " I don't appreciate you talking to me like I'm not here and I'm not your Rainey" the guy speaks next " that is no way to speak to your mother" "well to be fair my mother didn't want me for 16 years" the woman looks as if she's about to cry but why should I care I'm the one who should be crying. She speaks again "well Rainey that's not exactly how it went down but no need for drama right away my name is Nala Smitt and this is your father Randy Smitt" they seem to be very nice and loving people and I look like a mixture of the both of them so there's no doubt that there my parents. I'm still not comfortable saying mom and dad so I hope they aren't offended "hello Mr. & Mrs. Smitt" I give them my fake smile. "Is there anyway I can reach Jane and tell her I'm ok ?"Randy speaks first "what's a girl with your age doing without a cell phone?" "Well we didn't have a lot of money to spare" "hmm alright well here for the time being you can use mine" "ok thank you Mr. Randy" I call Jane and tell her everything she sounds so happy for me but I can hear the loneliness in her voice. She tells me to never give up and once again that I am stronger and more beautiful than I think. When I get off the phone we leave the airport and I'm off to face my new world.
