"It's always you two isn't it" sighed the principal that me and Cameron had known for way too long. And i personally think she should retire by now.
"Yes it's always us" Cameron said so sarcastically that anyone could tell he wasn't serious.
We were both getting in trouble for something he did that was his idea. He had thought it was an amazing idea to try and saw the sword off of the school statue then dump soap in the fountain. Well of course he only successfully poured soap in the fountain which flooded the parking lot and caused a lot of issues. But tracking back to this moment he didn't seem to care about detention and left to walk there. The principal asked me to stay after he left even though i didn't get punished. The second he walked out the door she said,
"Adelia you need to stop hanging out with that young man, you are a good kid with excellent grades. When are you going to see that he's a horrible influence on you? You don't want to become one of the school dropouts that skip college and don't get a degree."
"Ok" i say simply and walk out the door knowing fair well that i would never just stop hanging out with Cameron because my principal wants me to go to college. She had even asked me to write a college essay freshman year of course that was 3 years ago but still it was pushy.
Me and Cameron have been best friends since we were 7 and met in 3rd grade when he came to Westwood's for the first time. I of course wasn't waiting an hour after school so i quickly texted him that i was walking home alone and to have fun in detention.
