No one's POV (no one's POV)

Genya sighed, walking from the doors of the school building. He had just gotten out of class and was heading towards the Buddhist temple to visit his mentor Gyomei. Genya didn't like going home as much, since his big brother Sanemi didn't like him, or at least acted like that. Genya and Sanemi's Parents both died a while ago, their dad had gone first, which wasn't a surprise. Then their mom soon followed after, she fell ill and the doctors decided to pull the plug when she wasn't getting any better.

The tall raven boy touched the scar on his face, rubbing it a bit as if it was still sore and bleeding. It had been a long day and some meditating practice with Gyomei-San would help him relax a bit. As he started his journey to the local temple, he took in a deep breath through his nose to practice breathing exercises. Except in the process, he picked up a new smell. It stood out from everything else he had never picked up on that street before, so this intrigued him. It was light and floral, but also sweet, with hints of maple syrup. He couldn't help but start walking faster down, the smell getting stronger until he had stopped in front of a tea shop. A tea shop he had never seen before in his life, and he knew all the shops on this street.

'Must be new,' he thought as he wandered inside, a bell at the top of the door ringing. He looked around the rather empty lounge, all the tables had a mason jar with fresh flowers in them. The flowers ranged from Jasmine to Poinsettia, it added more to the floral smell. Genya turned just as someone walked out of the backroom of the shop.

It was a boy, his hair was neatly brushed back, the black blending in with the burgundy tips. His hair was paired with his red eyes that had shone off with a pretty little glimmer, the color-matched that of the rising sun he had on his hanafuda earrings. He wore an olive green shirt with a dark green apron and some long beige pants and grey sneakers. A flower sat in the chest pocket of his apron, it was a small dandelion. Genya stumbled back a bit, not knowing if he had to leave. However, his mind hesitated with that thought when the boy smiled and raised his hand, it looked rough and firm as if he had gone through a lot of training.

"Welcome! You're just in time for the new batch of Dandelion and Rose tea, would you like to try some?" The boy asked as he brought out pair of teacups. Genya was quite thirsty, and it did smell good, but he didn't have any money on him to pay for the sweet drink. The burgundy boy had taken notice of the other patting his pockets and the look of slight sadness on his face when he realized he was broke.

"Hey, don't worry about it!! This one'll be on the house," He said as poured the two of them cups of tea. Genya walked over to a table, the other bringing the cups out to the said table. Genya's guard was up, he didn't know this person at all but he was taking tea from him. The boy sat down with Genya and took a sip of the tea, humming lightly as he placed it back down on the table. Genya rose the cup to his lips, hesitating before he blew the steam and took a sip. It was very light and delicate, a flourishing, bittersweet taste from the rose then a sweet, floral taste from the dandelion, the dripping warm flavors of maple syrup dancing into play. However, the burning temperature of the tea almost burnt his tastebuds into oblivion, and it was a bit difficult to taste the flavors at first, but they later improved.

"I'm Tanjiro, Tanjiro Kamado. What's your name?" The boy, Tanjiro, seemed rather friendly, it was almost annoying to Genya.

"Why should I tell you, stranger?" Genya asked in an irritated and defensive tone. He didn't know what this "Tanjiro" could be up to, but it was enough to keep his senses high.

"Ah, I see you don't prefer to answer, that's alright!!" Tanjiro responded with a smile, his nonchalant and sweet attitude confused Genya. He didn't even know his name and he made him tea for free. Genya gulped down the rest of the tea and they sat in a weird comfortable silence. He looked around the place, he noticed, again, that the decorations were very floral and very green, not a bad look. He stared up and down at the hanging vines and the flowers that sprouted in them, along with the flower on their table. It was extremely pretty, and Genya was quite curious about what it was.

"...What is this plant?" Genya asked as he stared at the plant, Tanjiro smiled.

"It's a Hoya Carnosa, pretty isn't it?" Tanjiro asked as he stood up, walking to the back of the counter and grabbing a watering can. Returning to the table, he watered the plant and looked at Genya, a soft smile still plastered across his face.

"Do you like flowers? I can give you tips on growing them if you'd like!" Tanjiro asked, noticing the other staring at the flower. Genya grunted as he stood up, his bag on his back and pushing in the chair.

"I don't want no fucking flowers, but at least your tea's..alright," 'No, it's not alright, it's really good, and those flowers are pretty, just like you, What the fuck?' Genya shook his head, holding his head in his hand. Did he just think that boy was...pretty??

"I'm glad you liked the tea!!! I'll make sure to have it ready for when you come by again!!" Tanjiro said brightly as he sipped from his cup, savoring the sweet, drippy taste. Genya scoffed softly as he got up, putting his jacket on his shoulders and walking to the front door, not even bothering to turn around to face the red haired male.

"7:15 tomorrow morning, I want a biscuit and that tea." Tanjiro smiled as the other left.

"Coming right up, stranger"
