It took Summer and I a little while but we eventually found jobs that we both wanted, Summer got a job at daycare and I got a job at a hospital not far from our apartment or Jamie's school. We got our schedules to work around Jamie's school schedule so one of us or even both of us could go pick him up. I was nervous to work at the hospital but excited to see here my career would go. Summer loved her job at the daycare, she has helped me take of Jamie his whole life so she was use to being around little kids. My job at the hospital was a lot of work but I managed to get the hang of it, and the other staff members and the patients were super nice. Bobby and I  were able to coordinate our schedules to where we could have the same days off to spend with each other. We would spend the afternoon together then go pick Jamie up from school and do something just the 3 of us. I really enjoyed our new life here in Washington DC, it was so different from where Summer and I grew up. The town we grew up in was small, everyone new something about it each other. All the kids you had in the neighborhoods all went to the same 3 schools, and sometimes in all the same classes. A lot of the kids who grew up there got jobs and moved away, some stayed to raise their kids. I was in between for the longest time, I moved back and forth several times before finally settling back down. After things with Jamie's sperm donor happened, it was the next decision to move far away to forget everything. It was very hard on both Summer and I to move away from our families but they completely understood the reasoning after seeing that I went through.
3rd Person POV:
I was sitting in my car sipping on another beer that I had opened beside me in the console, waiting for the results I have been waiting for a long time. I tapped my fingers impatiently against the steering wheel, taking a big swig of my drink. "How long is this going to take? I need to find them." I thought to myself pulling out the picture of Charleigh and Jamie that I had kept, it was right after Jamie's birth. Even though it was a rough one, she still looked so beautiful. I knew I had a drinking problem but never wanted help, I always wanted to do things my way. That's why it ended, because she couldn't take the drinking and I didn't want to accept it that I needed help. After it ended I dated a lot of girls but none of them were special like Charleigh was. I did end up fathering a child who we named Daniel Jr, who I help a lot with. The dinging of my phone got me out of my trance, I picked up my phone to look at the notification smiling big. The notification read: Charleigh Hutchinson found at 215 Peter Drive Apartment A Washington DC 20005. "I finally found you, you can't hide now." I smirked getting ready to go hunt her down.
