To create an ancestry account, you will need an active email address and credit card. So, if you are a genealogist and interested in doing research on your, family or friend's ancestors then ancestry is the best place. I hate to say but they charge after a 14days trial.
Just a quick note – ancestry.com provides a free trial for 14days so if you aren't a genealogy expert then you should go for the trial version first.
Questions and Answers (Detailed Explanations)First Question – How to subscribe to an ancestry.com account?
Answer – Please visit ancestry.com by typing it on your browser. Once you visit the website, on the right corner top there is an option to click on FREE TRIAL. Click on a free trial to create free ancestry account.

As soon as you click on the free trial, you will get another window within the ancestry website. You will have three choices to choose from.
U.S. Discovery ($24.99)– Here you can access all records, but you will be limited to United States records.World Explorer ($39.99) – You can access all US and international records.All Access – Get full access to ancestry, newspaper.com basic, and fold3.com.
Please choose from one of these three mentioned above options and click on Start FREE trial.
According to the example image, we have selected U.S. Discovery membership. Now, you will need to put your first and last name and email address. You should also choose a strong password for your ancestry account. Click on save and continue and put in your payment and address details to continue. That's it, you are all set for the ancestry website, and you can do your research now.
Note – If you do not wish to continue with this service, you should cancel your subscription before the 14th day else, ancestry will charge your credit card or payment source provided by you.
Second Question – How to cancel a free trial or paid ancestry account?
Answer – To cancel your account, you will need to sign in to an ancestry account. Once you are logged in on the top right corner you will see your name or username. Please click on it and go to the membership or subscription area and click on cancel membership.
Note: If you do not see an option "cancel membership or subscription" that means, you do not have one.
Third Question – Will I get a refund, if ancestry charges my card or bank account?
Answer – This is dependent on ancestry if they owner your request or not once they charge your account. So, our advice, if you do not want to continue using the service, please cancel it before they charge your card again for renewal.
