"I was the one who killed all those people," you bite your lip and wait for his response.
Sting just stares at you with a shocked expression. I knew it! He's going to hate me!'
"And?" he asks calmly.
Now you're the one staring at him with wide eyes. He seems to be taking this really well. You thought he was going to rash out or something.
"And I couldn't bring myself to telling you," you say quietly.
Sting clicks his tongue, then he gives you death stare. This makes you flinch a little in his grip. You were right he really is going to do something to you.
"Sorry, are you telling me you left us for 14 years, just because you killed some people?" he says wiping all his tears away.
"Y-Yeah I didn't want you guys to get involved with a k-killer," you say shyly.
Sting finally gets up off of you, then you stand up as well. He puts his hands on his hips and keeps looking at you. You put are hands behind your back, and connect them together. You look off into another direction, avoiding his gaze.
"What a stupid reason," he says harshly.
You tense up at his tone. In fact you've never heard him speak like that before. You squeeze your hands tighter together. How much has he changed?
"You really are still the same weak girl that Rogue and I always had to protect," he sighs.
You look down, and you feel tears start to appear in your eyes.
This fact was indeed true. The boys might have looked up to you, but you still needed protection. Well not exactly. You always pretended that you were weak just so the boys did have someone to protect. It seemed foolish at first, but you couldn't bring yourself to telling them how strong you were. You always appeared weak in their eyes, and also too nice. They both thought that your kindness was also your weakness.
You're assuming that Sting right now, sees your reason for leaving them, is just from your weakness. You never thought about this until now. Maybe you were being too nice.
"Sting-" just saying his name hurts. "Please you have to understand, what I did was wrong and I couldn't possibly tell you, I just wanted to forget it all happened," you say tears coming from your eyes now.
He sighs and looks away, "I won't accept the fact you left us, with that reason," he starts to turn and leave.
"I didn't tell you because I cared about you, isn't that obvious! If I told you, you would have been devastated to learn that you're friend's a killer! Wouldn't that make you upset?!" you shout at him.
Sting looks back at you with a blank expression. He then walks right up to you, and leans his face close to yours. You both stare right into each other's eyes.
"So basically you're telling me, you thought we wouldn't be able to handle it?" he raises an eyebrow.
"W-What?" your eyes widen.
Sting backs away from your face, and turns his back to face you.
"Face it, you're just too kind," Sting says. He starts to walk away, "That's why you're weak," he turns his head and smirks at you.
'Is he acting like this on purpose? He's being so mean! What happened to the sweet little boy I once knew?'
You bring your hands to the sides of your body and clench them into fists. You puff your cheeks and glare at Sting.
"I-I am not weak! I only pretended to be weak so you wouldn't feel depressed because I'm stronger!" you give yourself a mental pat on the back for your great come back.
