Chapter: 3am Run

I was laying in my bed just staring at the ceiling "I can't belive it's been a week already " i said  to myself  before  my phone began to ring I reached over to the bedside table it was Kaji "Hello?" I said still half asleep "Oh yayy your up, Great hold on" There was a brief silence then a familiar voice 

"Y/n?" A suddenly felt flustered aigain "yes, Kenma" I said with a break in my voice "Uh- we are waiting for Kuro and Jeshi to finish their run and then we'll go buy some food would you like to join us"  I looked at my wrist watch "At 3 in the morning" "yes" kenma and Kaji said

"Sure why not, let me just get dressed" I replied "Where should I meat you guys?" I asked as I hopped in to my sweats "Just outside your house we're almost there" Kenma said before hanging up I ran out of my room 

i wrote a note and left it on the kitchen counter then walked out of the house locking the door behind me "Y/n!!!" Kaji yelled as she waved from the stop sign on the corner of my street I walked over to them as Kaji pointed down the street 

"We all live kinda close , see I live there" She pointed to a cream colored house then moved to the street behind her "Kenma lives there and The kuroo's live there" She then moved to the other side of the four way to a greyish double storey house. 

I nodded in agreement "So why are you guys up so late " We do this every day before school the kuroo's go for a run and Kaji and I wait for them to return" Kenma said as he continued to game I could hear the sound of footsteps in the distance 

I looked behind me to see in the distance what looked like Jeshi and Tetsu talking as they stood at the end of the road, Suddenly their heads looked in my direction I could tell that Jeshi had a huge smirk plastered on her lips before she turned back to her brother

I turned back to Kaji and Kenma " So where are we going to go eat?" I asked the two of them "We are probibly going to go buy some ramen from the store over there" Kenma said looking up from his game making direct eye contact with me I could feel my cheeks getting warmer 

Kaji who was leaning against the street lamp just smiled mischievously " Oh look here they are" She said as she grabbed the two water bottle and walked to Jeshi and Tetsu i followed her with my eyes when they landed on Jeshi who was standing infront of Tetsu then she looked at me and moved to Kaji 

Behind her was Kuroo wiping his sweat off with the end of his shirt I stared in aww when i felt a tap on my shoulder  " Hey I got good news for you" Jeshi said looking into my eyes to think she's just a few inches taller than me and we are the same age  " Yeah what's up" i asked as my eyes kept landing on Kuroo and Kenma

"You are now a member of the Nekoma's Vollyball team" She said with a small smile 

~Time skip~

I was walking to practice with Kuroo and Kenma , kenma was on his game like always "So Y/n how's school been for you?" kuroo asked looking at me that same exact smirk as Jeshi plastered on his lips "It's been going amazing i still have to work on my kanji but it's getting better" I said rubbing the back of my neck 

"KUROO,KENMA , Y/N HURRY UP!!!!" Yamato yelled from the gymnasium we all begun sprinting towards the doors and ran in "Where's Jeshi and Kaji??" Yamato asked concerned "They'll be here soon Yamato " Kuroo said as he pushed pass Yamato 

"Everyone is here,wonderful" Coach Nekomata said and everyone bowed the sliding doors went open and Jeshi and Kaji fell into line and bowed too

"You are all here for the good news" Coach said and Jeshi walked to the front of the court "We are going against Karasuno in a 2 weeks time" she said tying her hair

"Lets make this one count" Kaji said as she looked at me and smiled then looked back at Jeshi and walked to the bleachers to sit down and watch the practice

Jeshi walked to Kaji picking up a box she walked to the middle of the court and dropped the box it echoed through the gymnasium

"Well your shirts arrived today so collect them" she kicked the box to the front of the line and everyone began looking for their number

Just as I was about to look for mine Kuroo handed me a shirt  I could see the number 10 on the back but I was too busy blushing to even  say anything

"Y/n? Are you okay " kuroo asked I just nodded looking down at my shoes I then felt a arm around my neck "Yeah  he's fine" I heard Kenma's voice 

With that I became a flustered mess I just kept looking at my shoes suddenly kuroo lifted my chin with a smile across his face

"Back it up , back it up this is time to practice not make out" I hears Jeshi say as she put on the team manager jacket with a smile plastered on her face

She then looked at me smirking as she pointed to her brother and Kenma  I just shook my head  and looked back at the coach before I noticed Kaji and Jeshi was infront of me

"We're studying at my house after practice want to join" kaji said with a warming smile  "Yeah it's just going to be the five of us like usally"

"Yeah of course  I need to work on my kanji" I said "Well my brother and Kenma is pretty good with kanji so they will help you" Jeshi said looking at Kuroo
