The reason Blue Mermaids wanted this ship to replace the Independence-class LCS ship, was because Blue Mermaids needed a ship that had sufficient endurance, was fierce and had a lot of weaponry, rather than the Independence class LCS ship, who only has a small amount of weaponry. On one of the Kongō-class ships called Igasaki which was Mashimo's first ship, as she had never been a ship captain before
