Drink after drink, shot after shot, my vision started to blur, as Liam, Harry and three other of their friends talked about life being amazing in the desert. I drowned out the voices and concentrated on the music, soon enough my body started to move to the beat. Before I knew it I was in the middle of the dance floor surprisingly alone. "You're a good dancer, may I join you?" A strange boy asked, shaking my head I moved away from him not wanting to be bothered by any of the hungry men looking for a booty call. "Hey come on now, let me buy you a drink."
"Get away from me." I shook him off as he was trying to grab my arm.
"Aw baby don't be like that." he chuckled as he could easily drag me to the bar. I smacked my hands on his chest but that didn't help.
"If I were you I'd step away." A familiar voice called.
"And who the hell are you to tell me what to do?" He chuckled, it scared me.
"I'm not going to tell you again." he gritted his teeth.
"Yeah okay dude, fuck off." and with that the boy holding onto me was on the ground with me attached.
"I'm so sorry I didn't mean to drop you." The familiar figure's face came into view and I smiled.
"Don't worry about it, thanks for helping me out." I hadn't noticed I was slurring until he chuckled. "What's so funny."
"You're drunk, let me take you home." I shook my head.
"I wouldn't want to be a bother Harry is it?" He nodded.
"Come on, it's better than being here watching Liam make out with his girlfriend." I cringed at the thought of it.
"Fine, but you're not going to try to get in my pants just because I'm drunk okay, I'm more than capable of hitting your privates." He laughed as we both made our way outside.
"So what's with you?" He asked looking at me struggle to walk in a straight line. "I mean, you're beautiful and you're out here drinking to the max. I'm not trying to tell you what to do but I suggest you'd stop drinking so much, a pretty girl like you shouldn't be downing drinks and walking crooked." I giggled.
"You know what Harry. I'm going to tell you what is wrong with me. What's wrong with me is that I can't seem to find a guy that wants to settle down with me. I do everything I can to keep them and they do everything they can to push me away." I shook my head. "I don't get it, I try my best to be good enough for everyone for anyone but it's never good enough I'm never good enough." I wiped away some unwanted tears. "I'm so sorry I shouldn't be throwing all this on you." I tripped and fell on my knees. "Fuck." Soon after I felt his hand wrap around my waist picking me up.
"Are you alright?" He looked at me as I brushed off my dress. I nodded as I began to walk again, he didn't take his arm off my waist. "I know what you mean you know, I was dating a girl a couple years ago. I was the best boyfriend, I gave her gift and I gave her my heart. I went to the army soon after, which was hard on her and me as well. I didn't see or hear from her in six months, I wrote her almost every week. I never got a letter back. When I got back I was expecting her to be at the welcoming, but to my surprise she wasn't. It's sad you know everyone I was with out there came home to their loving spouses or families, I came home to no one." He sighed and shook his head. "I walked into our apartment where we lived and there she was, half naked on her knees sucking a random guys dick. I wasn't angry, I know I should have been but when she looked up at me she didn't show any signs of regret, we talked about it and she said it was my fault, that I made her cheat." He chuckled. "I got my stuff and left, lived with my grandfather and soon after went back to the army. You see bad things happen to the ones who deserve nothing but the best. But I know one day we will finally get what we deserve." He smiled and looked at me.
"I'm so sorry to hear that." He shook his head as we arrived at my apartment. "Well this is me." I pointed to the door. "Thanks for walking me home Harry, I'm sorry to hear about your ex girlfriend."
"Don't worry about it, thanks for keeping me company tonight, I really enjoyed talking to you, even if it was about bad times." He chuckled and I bit my lip.
"Do you wanna come in? Just for a couple of minutes? I could make us some coffee." He smiled.
"I'd like that actually." I smiled and unlocked my door and opened it stepping in and letting him step in as well before closing the door.
"Sammie you whore, you've brought a guy home?" I hear a voice I never wanted to hear again.
