As we approach the fortress Hazumi clings onto me saying her head hurts then she refuses to look at me, but looks over to Gabriella and Kokoro. I get a small glimpse at her and I'm caught off guard. Her eyes were bright orange with dilated pitch black pupils.
I look at Hazumi, then at Gabriella and Kokoro. "Kokoro lets go kill a witch." I say getting off my horse,Kokoro does the same nodding. The two of us begin to cross the bridge to the fortress,nothing but pitch black fog below the bridge.I keep finding myself gazing into it, "Lazareth you okay there?" Kokoro says to me, sounding quite worried. "Yeah I'm fine..." I pause, shaking my head "I just see something..."
Kokoro snickers "alright weirdo let's continue" He says with a smile. I look at him then back down, "you scout ahead..." I say looking at the black fog "hm wh-" he was cut off by me jumping down into the fog."Lazareth?!"he yelled down worriedly.
Once I made it down I looked around using my new vision to see through the fog. Eventually I see a hammer, as I approach it I hear a voice followed with laughter. "The mighty god of thunder's hammer, however one must be worthy to lift it" a male voice said. "Who's there?!" I shout. A man with black slick backed hair and wearing a green robe appeared, "Relax mortal I am Loki the god of trickery" the man said snickering. "I've literally never heard of you" I say in that smartass tone I have. "Oh well I'm just offended... but nevermind that I'd like to offer you a small wager..." Loki said with a smirk "Alright what is it?" I ask seemingly bored. "Lift the hammer and I will return the love of your life" The slick god of trickery said "and what about the rest of my family?" I question where they could be. "I will only return your family if your party returns my daughter, Hel" Loki says as i look at him a tad confused."fine I'll try my hand at the hammer but I have no clue where your daughter is" I say rolling up my sleeves. Loki snickers "oh, but you do."
I place both hands on the hammer and I lift it easily "I thought this was supposed to be a challenge" I say bringing my smartass tone back. Loki looks at me in shock but snaps his fingers and kumin appears next to me. "Lazareth! I knew you'd come! Everyone else kept doubting you but I knew you'd come!" Kumin hugged me then kissed me. MY face turns red but I kiss back nonetheless before parting thinking about what Loki,who now had disappeared, said about hel.
"Lazareth? You're holding Thor's hammer... and you have my mothers sword..." Kumin says curiously. "Yeah this is his hammer isn't it..." I pause grabbing the sword "Oh this belonged to your mom would want it back?" I ask, looking at her. "Well technically my mother stole it then cursed it so the original owner can never use it again." Kumin explained. I then realize she's the daughter of Freja. "Laza?" she says looking around."yeah?" I reply, "how are we gonna get out of here?" She asked worriedly. "Hm didn't think about that..." I say to her looking around then at the hammer in my hands.
