LOCATION : Fat burger(Manchester/Inglewood)
Me, traci, quin sat down at the outside table with kevon, terek, and xion. We was laughing and talking about diffrent things, I was eating my burger and fries with kevontae slid closer to me, I knew traci was too busy googly eyeing terek.
Kevontae leaned in and whispered in my ear.
Kevon: Maybe we should go out just you and I next time, seems more fun don't you think?
Me: yeaah I guess...I mean I gotta make time you know
Kevon: I understand ma, no rushing..
He smiled at me and ate his burger, it was something about kevon that made me feel comfortable, maybe it was his voice or his good looks, but whatever it was I sure wasn't interested in knowing him better than before...
My phone started buzzing, I looked down at the caller I.d and seen it was my mom calling me. I texted her back saying i was at Fat burger, i lifted my head up and seen kevon looking at me. I blushed and ate the rest of my burger.
A hour later
Me and kevon walked back to the church parking lot, my girls and his boys left early before we did, so we were walking alone..
Kevontae: it's sure a nice evening huh?
Me: yeaaah, kinda cold tho...
Kevontae: here take my jacket..
He took his suit jacket off and placed it over my shoulders, I smiled and bundled up.
Kevontae: So ms lysa, when imma see you back at eves?
Me: I don't know, I can get away from the house long enough...
Kevontae: hmm.i feel you, you know they doing duet night Friday
Me: oh word?
Kevontae: Yeaaah, I don't have a partner soooo
Me: hmmm I think I can make it
Kevontae: forreal? I Mean look shawty, I ain't tryna rush it or nothing
Me: look kevon, you been nice to me and everything, I wouldn't mind
Kevontae: Oo iight, i feel ya, so umm here we are...
We were standing by his car, i smiled.
Kevontae: soo you going inside?
Me: yeaah, I gotta work on some material...
Kevontae: mind if I stay?
Me: well I know yo folks worried
Kevontae: girl I'm 20, imma be alright, cmon let's go inside, I wanna see how you get down
Me: mhmm, cmon let's go
Kevontae and me walked inside the church, everything was dark. I flicked the light switch on, and walked towards the piano, kevon was looking around,
I sat his coat on the top of the piano, I cracked my fingers a little and started playing the piano.
Kevontae was looking at me,
Me: Lawd I ain't tryna get strucked by lighting playing this song up in here
Kevontae: lemme hear it?
Kevontae sat next to me, I started playing a few keys.
Me: Oooo...lalala...got me going like Oooo...lalalalalala...you got me going like ooooo....lalaalalala...Every time you look at me I feel like it's us twoo...I just can't the feeling
Kevontae: Aye I think I can add something to that.... Oooo lalalalala lalala got brotha saying oooo lalalalala lalala ooooo you so fine girl you know you wanna be mine, I never seen a such a girl bad as you got a brotha getting ready fall in love with you, listen girl I ain't usually type to fall for someone so fast but when I seen you I had to askkk....Oooo lalalala you got me going like oooo lalalalala got my heart going like oooo lalalala
Me: oooo lalalala, you so fine boy, I gotta have you as minee, boy, can't waste no time, tryna dig on you, I've been watching you seeing you tryna get this number, why don't you come swing my wayyyy...
That's when I heard a door slam, I stopped playing on the piano, kevontae was looking around.
Me: dammit...I bet that was my dad....
Kevontae: Aye don't trip, just change into a gospel song
He started laughing, I shooked my head and laughed.
Kevontae: Ayo you pretty good at this music thing,
Me: you ain't bad ya self Mr Jenkins
Kevontae: Oo that made me sound like my dad, yuck
We both started laughing, I got up from the piano and grabbed his coat. He stood up and was looking at me.
Kevontae: well it's getting late, don't want pastor Cadwell to part the red sea looking for ya
Me: I know rightt, well here's your coat back....
Kevontae: thanks...
He grabbed it and placed over his shoulder, we walked out the church towards his car. We stopped.
Kevontae: good night chelysa,
Me: good night kevon....
Kevontae: ion get no hugg???
Me: okaay fineee
I walked over and hugged him, he looked into my eyes and smiled, he leaned down closer to me and was about to kiss me when I heard the car horn going off. I turned around and seen it was mom pulling into the parking lot, I stepped back hella fast and was shaking a little.
Me: mom heyy...
She rolled down her window and shooked her head and laughed.
Kevon: hello first lady, was just saying good night to your lovely daughter.
Mom: mhmmm, well you have a good night young man...
Kevon: good night...
He winked at me and hoped in his car, i blushed and got into my mom's car, she hit reverse was heading home.
Mom: mhmmm....I know he a cutie Huh??
Me: mommmm..
Mom: whattt, listen I totally believe in you making the right decisions, just don't move to fast, I know you're 18, I was 18 once, lawd lemme tell youuuu, I was a wild child, that's how I ended up with your brother, but that isn't the point, I know I raised you to know right from wrong, even if yo father don't see it...
Me: yeaah mom I understand..
Mom: good, now let's hurry home before he throws another fit
She chuckled, I shooked my head and smiled, I turned my head and looked out the window at the street, i sighed and thought back to kevontae.
