I THINK I'M IN LOVE

Maybe it’s true,
Or maybe just a dream,
A trick of my own imagination
In the world I’ve built from longing.

For the first time,
I looked into your eyes
And wished I could hear your thoughts.
I traced the curve of your smile_
So effortless, so perfect_
And whispered a silent wish
That I was the reason behind it.

I watched your lips,
Soft, unspoken poetry,
And sent a quiet prayer into the air.
For a moment, I smiled back,
Wishing my name was etched in your heart,
Ink deep,
Like a tattoo that time could never erase.

I don’t fall in love, I remind myself.
But why does my heart stutter?
Why does my breath slip away
With just one glance from you?

You haven’t spoken a word,
Yet you are already my world,
As if the universe carved you for me.
No, no, no…
It can’t be love.
