Anchor Poem

I drifted towards you,
The tides pushed me and I didn't want them to,
You're tough as steel,
But on the inside you couldn't feel

Your anchor dragged me down to the ocean floor,
You let me enter through your doors,
Sinking in shades of shimmering blue,
There is something special about you
That I began to see
The steel set perfectly in the moon dust
Emotions drowning
Pain crashing
the secrets that lie in your darkest depths
That moment I didn't want to meet the sun rays
Without you

I cried tears and they sunk in the salty abyss
You caught them and knew my secrets too
And sinking my anchor was a bliss

In High tides or low tides,
I'll always be by your side
You supported me,
As an anchor does to a boat

So tie your chains and link it to me,
Your weight makes me feel safe,
With your heart, lend me the key
I'll hold on and live in your strong waves
Because we're best friends in the sea of life
