"c'mon Y/N, this would be good for you! Getting out and seeing more of the world. You can't stay in our house forever on your distracting devices" your guardian, looking over at you as you huff a sigh. "I didn't want to go to this stupid camp in the first place. I'm literally 18, give me a damn break.". Your parent gives a quick glare in your direction. You sigh heavily and scowl out the window of the moving car. Now you do like being outside and you are always ever so curious about the world around you... But just can't work up the motivation to do so ever since the INCIDENT happened. Sure... Boys will be boys as people say... But these guys stepped over the line. You close your eyes and try to think of something to distract yourself. 'oh I can always draw some landscapes when I don't feel like socializing... Hell I never feel like socializing.'. You lean your head back against the car seat, mind slowly going blank due to the sound of nothing but the gentle breeze emitting from the ac. You never notice that you dozed off...
You open your eyes to a lake. You stand there, taking in your surroundings. Suddenly the silence is broken by a melancholy but sweet and tender voice. "Ah... Seems you hit the hay right as you passed the sign.". You stumble around, jerking your head towards every angle you could twist your head. "Relax dear, I'm just a mom of one of the residents of Camp Crystal Lake.". You pause to rub your temple. "Who... What is happening? Where am I?" You stutter as you stare deep into the blue water. "Awh, sweetie. Nothing to worry about, you're just dreaming. Now you need to wake up, you're going to meet some interesting people.". You look behind you to see a short woman with light brown hair and a blue dress covered with an apron. She looks almost real except for what seems to be mist trailing from her neck. As you take in this image standing before you in what you make out to be a dream, you hear faint bubbling coming from the lake. You turn back around to see the water become a murky, deep, and dark blue. The bubbles are slow... Progressively rising faster to the surface, bubbles popping as they make contact with air. The pace of the bubbles quicken as if something is coming up from it's depths. "Wake up Y/N.".
You open your eyes. Your parent tapping you on your shoulder, as you stir out of your weird dream. "We're here Y/N. Grab your things.". You get out of the passenger seat, open the door sluggishly, and walk slowly to the back of the car. You grab your black suitcase covered in stickers of your favorite aesthetic. A male figure approaches you and your guardian. "Hello there! Welcome to Camp Crystal lake." He grins. "The names Jeremy. I'll be one of the camp counselors for the summer. Don't be shy, were all friendly here!". He shoots out his hand, expecting you to shake it. You look awkwardly at him, as if he were from another planet. His grin falters a bit but goes back up when this behavior catches your guardians attention. "Y/N... Don't be rude.". You scoff, grab your suitcase and walk to the meeting hall. Not even telling your parent goodbye. The meeting hall was easy to find... There were literally people with their luggage, standing or sitting, waiting for a sign or message about where they'd be staying for the summer. You stand at the edge of the pavilion, suit case beside you. It doesn't take long for the other counselors to appear. 'dear god, lemme guess. They think we're still toddlers or something.'. "Hello campers!". A cheery voice echos around the meeting hall. "Welcome to Camp Crystal Lake!" Chant the counselors in unison.
