"Sorry, Mom. Dad. But I have to do this." My voice was laced with fake sorrow as I gazed at the people known as my parents. A slow, sadistic smile tugged at my bleeding lips as I watched them struggle against the ropes that bound them to the pillars supporting the basement cieling. "Please don't." My mom begged. I laughed. "Stop begging. It's pathetic." With a flick of my wrist, dark shadows curled around them, tightening with each wiggle and thrash they made. Soon, they were gasping and panting as the shadows constricted their lungs.

"Please.....you aren't like this." Dad gasped in a last ditch effort to save his pathetic life. I turned to a table where a small scythe rest. My fingers curled around the wooden handle, my other hand stroking the blade lightly. "Sorry. My mind is made up. You lied to me. Not once, but over and over again. I don't take kindly to people who don't own up to their sins. Now, I'll give you one last chance. Did you kill my brother?" They shook their heads. "We didn't kill him." Mom whimpered. Another laugh, this one sarcastic. I licked my bleeding lips, tasting the addicting copper flavored liquid and wanting more. "Liars." I sang.

Their eyes grew wide as I began to approach them, still stroking the blade. "Daddy, you lied the most so you have to be the first to pay for your sins." I cooed, slowly making my way to his side before rumning the blade down his arm. A small, weak whimper passed his quivering lips as he began to struggle once more. I clenched my free hand into a fist, the shadows obeying and tightening their grip further as I did so. "Stop struggling, Daddy, and I'll make this quick." I whined, sounding momentarily like the child I used to be. He narrowed his hazel eyes at me. "You're a monster." He growled.

"Oh Daddy! You don't know how much of a monster I am!" I laughed, my voice turning demonic. I pressed the blade into his arm, drawing a slight line of crimson liquid. "Why?" He asked in a breathless whisper. "C'mon, Alex. I hate you and Marina." I started, gesturing to my mom with the scythe when I spoke her name. "I hate you both. Kameran did too. That's why you killed him, isn't it? You were gonna come after me next. Just because we weren't the perfect obedient, normal kids you wanted." I hissed, raking the blade down his arm and causing his blood to pour out in a steady stream. "Please stop." That's all it took. That's all it took to break me. "NO! You showed no mercy to Kameran and I shall do the same to you!"

I angrily dragged the blade down his shoulder, watching as the metal easily cut through flesh and veins. The bright liquid I so loved ran down his arm, turning tan skin red. "I warned you, Daddy. But you kept struggling so I'm gonna let this be painful." I licked my cut open lips once more, the copper taste tugging at my sanity, as if coaxing it to leave so insanity could take over. My heart twisted in craving and in that moment, all I wanted was to watch their blood spill, to watch the life fade from their fearful eyes. My fingers twitched, my whole body growing rigid as the last shred of my sanity fled. "But first....." I growled with a dark grin.

I stepped over to Mom and slashed her arm. She let out a cry of pain as her blood dripped and splashed onto the stone tiled floor. "Can't forget you, Mommy." I watched as defeat glinted in her eyes, her body going limp as she gave in. "Good, Mommy. You won't suffer like Daddy." Upon saying that, I turned back to Dad. "Oh Daddy!" I sang, flicking my fingers towards the wall. The shadows I controlled obeyed once more and ripped his rope binding before slamming him against the wall, keeping him pinned there as the other shadows constricted Mom's breathing more. "Daddy!" I sang again. I loved how his breathing grew quick and panicked. "Please, please don't." Smiling a smile that dripped with fake sweetness, I swung the blade loosely by my side and approached him. I stopped right in front of him, still swinging the blood coated scythe. "Okay, Daddy. Time to pay for your sins."
