chp. 1

A/N: This is my first story on wattpad. It probably won't see the light of day bc ill lose motivation. I don't own any of these characters or art (i edited the cover tho) all credits belong to them.

Yuu's Pov:
"Ughh.." I groaned. Wait. Where am I? I take a look around. I was in a bedroom that wasn't mine. It was filled with some cute stuffed cats and bunnies. What kind of room is this? I don't think I have a little sister.. I pick myself up from the pink bed and open the door.

Immediately, I was met with the strong scent of blood. My eyes widened from the horrible smell. I gagged and struggled not to vomit. I saw the hall was made of many many rooms. So I opened the door to the room next to the one I was just in. There was a boy around my age with fluffy brown hair and dark olive eyes. He was holding someone in his arms and crying.

"H-hello?" I asked.
He jumped from my voice.

"Who are you? Are you here to kill me as well?" The boy pointed a knife at me.

"W-what? Kill..?"
Only then did I notice the boy was holding a girl that was covered in blood.

"WHAT- WHO'S THAT?! WE NEED TO GET HER TO A HOSPITAL!" I frantically yelled.

"It's no use. She is already dead."
Those words hit me like a dump truck. I backed up a few steps.

"W-what is happening.. first I wake up in an unfamiliar pink room. Then I smell blood everywhere in the halls. And then.. someone's dead."

"Oh. So you're also a prisoner. Welcome to hell," the stranger said.

"Huh?"

"My name is Yoichi. But names don't matter much since we'll die anyways."

I gulped then muttered, "my name is Yuuichiro. Just call me Yuu. And what do you mean we will all die?"

"The reason we were brought to these prisons is for the vampire queen to choose a mate for her son."

"Vampire queen..?"

"You don't know the vampire queen? Are you not from here?"

"I come from Japan." (idk bro)

"Ohh, Earth. Well this is basically the other unseen side of Earth. The vampire realm. Me and my sister are humans living here. We were brought to this castle because of a bait. It doesn't matter though. She is dead now."

I stared.
"Then.. why am I here? I wasn't drawn by bait. I didn't even know vampires were a thing."

"We can figure that out later. There's no way to kill them other than fire," Yoichi then taught me, "The Queen's name is Krul. We must address her as Queen Krul. Her son is Mikaela. We must address him as Prince Mikaela. Vampires wear white uniforms and cloaks."

"Okay.. what's more important is breaking out."

Yoichi nodded. We peeked out of the doorway to check the halls. The awful smell was still there. Yoichi knew his way better than me, so I let him drag me to the kitchen.

"The vampires can still feel pain," he explained as he handed me a knife. Then he grabbed some water, and we went to look for the door.
We got pretty far before we stopped.

"Someone's following us," Yoichi whispered.

"Oh, I guess I've been caught," someone said.

"W-what? How did you hear us. And who are you?"

A girl dressed in white turned the corner.

"She's a vampire.." Yoichi informed me.

I gasped. She had beautiful purple hair and a cute but devilish face to go with it.

"Oh my.. Yoichi-Kun you have a friend?" The red-eyed girl gestured to me. It sent shivers down my back.
Yoichi gritted his teeth, "Shinoa, what do you want?"

Huh? Does Yoichi know this vampire?
"I just wanted to play. Your sister didn't hold out long enough with Prince Mikaela."

Yoichi seemed pissed by that comment. What did Mikaela do? But I figured the prince, being a vampire and all, must have sucked up Yoichi's sister's blood.

Then another vampire appeared behind her, "Since we are such nice vampires. Let's say. I for one won't kl you. But Shinoa might~"

This vampire had golden hair tied into two pigtails.

"Mitsu-chan~ We're here to have fun! Not just me~" Shinoa kissed the cheek of the other vampire who blushed and looked away.

What. Is. Happening?!
"Anyways. We'll play nice since we are royal gaurds and all. This is Mitsuba and I am Shinoa. We are here to ruin your hopes of escaping!"

In a flash, I found myself hanging from Shinoa's arm. Yoichi was struggling against Mitsuba.

I saw Mitsuba strike the back of Yoichi's neck which made him faint. I was then given the same treatment. Before my conscience left me I heard Mitsuba say, "We can't let Prince Mikaela know that one of his most prized possessions almost escaped."
