Notes: next chapter starts the fusion with canon. Forgive my weirdness, it's me trying to make this a fixit and expanding the lore since there's only so much that you can glean from the original. Feel free to roar me for making a Korean/Chinese webcomic more European but that's what I know better. Pagan and dnd elements are started here.

A month had passed, and it was quite eventful to say the least. To start with, the classes on how to make things for the females and a couple of the males were going great. They all started about a week after Tobias had begun work on the poncho, and while confused at the different method at first the group of 15 had managed to make scarfs, hats, and basic crop tops or sweaters already and were about to be moved into lace. They knew bobbles and beans, so moving on to stitches like fans or shells wouldn't be much different. Once they got that down, He intended to start them on cables.
The twins and Noah had finally gotten through his skull that they liked him, so they had made progress with courting the long haired man. This confused Gael at first, before he spotted the man bathing and then asked him point blank what was up. The bald condor-shifter then began to act more reserved around Tobias, before he yelled at him to stop treating him like some girl and that he could still hunt and work like every other guy and that's the way he wanted to be treated. It seemed his self-sufficiency and skills had impressed the feral, as he had officially moved into the cave outside the village once they had found out he was more interested in the "man-like female" than the ones who were considered "normal".
Unfortunately for the man who was hoping his cycle wouldnt start again, he had begun to feel the tell tale cramps related to it trying to start back up after going off his meds and was very not looking forward to it happening soon. He knew from the time they took him off them to make sure they weren't causing him to become diabetic that he had maybe 3 months left before it started again, and since he had no access to the drugs he needed he knew it was inevitable. The occasional moments of dread often had him staring at the ceiling at night in a panic, slowly working it over with himself that this was just how this world worked and that while he intended to adopt all his kids in the past, he was probably going to have to redirect his plans a bit now that he was here.
The poncho and kilt were done now, and all the blond needed to do now was make the boots he promised. He picked up a sheet of hide big enough to make a blanket if left alone and began to hike to the cave. The others were out hunting today, so he figured he could just go on his own. He wasn's stupid, he brought his bow, quiver and a long stone dagger he had made to preserve his steel ones until he could find a good whet stone for them. He also brought along a long strand of sinew he had prepared for this purpose.
He trucked through the woods up to the cave, waving at a few of the snakes he spotted along the guard wall or in the woods gathering wood and supplies. It took him about an hour on foot, and he was glad he got there then as Gael was about to leave.
"Yo, Gael! Wanna get your boots done? I just need to use this charcoal to trace the shape of your feet on this hide and I'll make it from there real fast! It's just cutting and poking holes after that, then sealing with heat so it doesn't get torn up easily."
"Yeah, I got time. How are you going to make those boot things out of a weird hide?"
"I'll show you. And this is light armor grade, so it'll be good protection while still being flexible and won't wear out as fast."
Tobias had the older man stand on the hide, carefully tracing each foot about 2 feet apart on the hide before having him step off. He then began to draw out arcs that he compared to the top of the man's feet, making sure it was the right length. When he began to cut the complex shapes out, Gael left to go hunt. By the time he had returned, Tobias was sitting outside the cave by a fire running a hot metal rod over the edges of the second shape. Gael stuck his catch on a spit and left it to roast, having gained a taste for it thanks to the human. By the time it was cooked, the first boot had magically formed from the human threading a long strand of sinew through the holes he poked, the second slowly closing as he worked.
