What Lies Beyond the Skies (Hiatus maybe?)

Deference for Darkness

It's been a few months, however it's been 3 months for Ai not on earth. In this realm, time worked differently to where 20 years here, is 1 minute on earth. During these few months Ai tried honing her new power not knowing the capabilities and unlimited potential she could make it be. After a few days she realized she didn't hunger for food or even water. After this realization she continued to hunt creatures learning her strength and abilities.

Ai: Ahh another day of killing and hunting. Feels good to let out all this stress and rage I've had. Honestly I don't know if I even want to return. I mean do I really need to go back to a place where I wasn't even accepted. The people were already destroying themselves, fighting amongst each other so what's the need to return.

As much as Ai didn't want to return she still deeply missed her only friend that stood by her side and she definitely missed her mother who at the time was in a coma and would not wake up. As Ai walked in this abyss, the enemies attacking her seemed to get bigger in number as she kept walking. She kept going and going wondering what is beyond all these enemies in front of her until suddenly she was greeted by a giant monster in armor almost looking like a king's personal knight.

?: Who dares step on my lord's territory and spill filthy blood over his land.

Ai: You talking to me souls of cinder looking ass?

?: What kind of inferior creature talks in that manner. My name is Perditrix, the guard of the true king.

Ai: True king you say?

Why don't we put that name to a test.

As soon as Ai finished speaking her words she created a large scale in front of her and whispered under her tongue.

Ai: Scale of judgment...

In a blink of an eye the knight was suddenly in a dark room with nothing in every direction he looked. Stumbling in confusion the large scale reappeared in front of him with Ai floating on top with angle like wings darker than the shadow itself.

Perditrix: What...what nonsense have you done to me! I demand to to release me!

Ai: I have taken you to a realm of nothingness that I have created to bring justice upon you. You see, this scale you are seeing holds any person's sins and blessings they have brought upon every living being in their lifetime and decides their sentence. Depending on how you have lived your life up until this moment, your actions will decide your fate.

Perditrix: That is simply a lie! Your just trying to stall and find a way to beat me! Yeah that's it, you know I'm stronger so you're using cheap tactics to beat me! You'll soon regret this.

He then brought out two swords from each hand from the air itself.

Ai: Oh? You can bring your swords and other items from a pocket dimension you've created. That is quite the extraordinary ability you have.

He then lunges at her swinging his two swords already claiming victory. As soon as he reached her, a bright light shined from the scale taking him back to spot he was before.

Ai: I see. You have just tried committing a sin upon me. That's unfortunately not going to work. Even I, myself, cannot attack before this scale. Like I said your actions will depend on your fate.

As she said her words shadows of darkness started to fall on one side of the weight and a very few of light on the other.

Ai: Hmmm let's see what you have done. You have served your so called "king" by fighting in many battles conquering plants and worlds by your companion's side. Oh? Why don't you look at that. Apparently this companion of yours is your younger brother. Your only blessings appear to be the bond and brotherly love you hold for him. I'll for sure remember to bring your head to him.

Perditrix: No! Anyone but him please I beg you! He's the only one I care for! I'll do anything! Just leave him!

Ai: Let's see...you serve no purpose for me I do not wish for anything, however what I do need is knowledge of this place. If you can tell me what you know, then I might be generous enough to spare your brother.

Perditrix: Yes! I'll tell you what I know!

Ai: Okay why don't you tell me who your king is.

Perditrix: He's a mighty warrior who has conquered systems and even galaxies. He's rumored to be unbeatable. I've heard he gains power through taking over planets and galaxies. No one but me and my brother have laid eyes upon our highness and only we have saw the extraordinary power he has demonstrated before my very own eyes.

Ai: Hmm he sounds strong. Do you think he is able to beat me?

Perditrix:...that is something I can not answer.

Ai: That's unfortunate depending on what you said would have decided your fate even sooner.

Perditrix: You'll now leave my brother alone...correct?

Ai: Let me tell you something. Sometimes the things we want just don't happen, no matter how much you pray, how much you believe or what you do, we never get the things we want. That's just how the world works. Don't worry I'll make sure to tell your dear brother hi.

In that instant the bell in the middle of the scale rang with every shadow of darkness crying in pain. Without even getting a second to speak Perditrix's head was sliced in a clean cut by light, leaving only his body and head. Ai then appeared back to where they were before with his head and body on the floor.

Ai: Now...let's take the ability of yours.

She then put her hand in the middle of his body with beautiful glimmering light entering the palm of her hand. It only took a few seconds before she stopped and sighed.

Ai: Now...where were we.

Ai then continued down into a castle looking gate. She was suddenly greeted by a similar looking knight she had just fought before.

?: Who dares reach these gates of my glorious king.

Ai: Look "souls of cinder 2" I don't know who you keep calling your "king" but tell him to hurry up and face me already.

?: How impudent of you to speak of him in that way.

Ai: Me? Impudent? Haha if anything say that to your older brother of yours.

Ai then brought a head out of a pocket dimension similar to Perditrix's. She then threw the head in front of the same looking knight which he then came to realize it was the brother he so loved.

?: What...but...how?! Where is he! What have you done to him! That ability you just used! Why do you have it! It shouldn't be yours!

Ai: Your right it shouldn't that's why I have it. Since he's already dead he should might as well be useful to me and let me take it don't you think. Besides, he should be thankful for contributing to my journey.

?: Journey? What kind of journey must you be on to commit these sins you crazy bastard!

Ai: This is my journey to make a rightful society and new order of justice. To be the one at its center and rule over all. Your brother opened my eyes and gave me a new purpose.

The purpose of Justice and a lawful society.
