"Can I just get a beer?" Caroline asked the bartender. He nodded and turned to a cooler, filled nearly to the brim with ice, all of the drinks were buried under it. He reached his entire forearm into the cooler, grabbing a glass bottle from the bottom and pulling out, his hand more red than it was when he put it in. He set the bottle down in front of Caroline before walking over to a man a few seats from Caroline. He was sitting alone, his eye bags heavier than anything she'd seen. "Whiskey." She heard him say quietly to the bartender. Out of pure curiosity, Caroline grabbed her unopened beer and moved three seats to her left, now sitting right beside the man. "Hey." She smiled. The man looked over at her with a slight grin, before looking away again, he didn't reply. She pulled at the lanyard holding the Polaroid camera around her neck, "You shoot?" She asked the man. He looked at her with wide eyes and a smile, "Yeah! You do too?" He asked her. She nodded, "Wow, I've never met anybody else in the business." The man seemed excited.
