Finally Free

Chapter 1

-a bit of cussing- sup my dudes how's it going? so i know i said that I was gonna post this all together but i don't think im gonna do that because to be honest I want to post it one at a time so I rush myself but anyway enjoy the first chapter im gonna try and make it long-

Misa's POV
I groaned as I turned in my bed to shut off the alarm beside me, "good morning Misa time for morning meds" who could possibly be that cheerful this early in the morning, right Rem "mmm do I have tooooo" i groaned again Rem chuckled "yes dear you have too" she said still chuckling a bit, I've been in this hospital since I was 13 but I'm still not used to taking meds every morning "mm fine".After I took my meds Rem lead me to the main hall where we usually have breakfast, I must have been daydreaming because I ran right into someone's chest "oh Jesus im so sorry I wasn't paying attention" "hey it's fine" his voice was oddly soothing, I looked up at him he was kind of pretty, he had chocolate brown hair almost to his shoulders his eyes matched his hair perfectly, " I'm sorry again, uh see you around I guess" "oh uh yeah see you around, my names Light it was nice to meet you" "nice to meet you too light my names Misa" he seemed too nice to be in a place like this, then again I'm a nice person yet here I am. Then we went our separate ways to get breakfast.

~after breakfast in Misa's room~
"Heyyy Mello" "hey Misa" Mello is my roommate he can be annoying at times but he's gotten me through some shit so I feel lucky to have him around. "How has your morning been my dear Misa?" "It's been... ok I guess, how about you how's your morning been?" "Mm pretty good, I saw Near" Near is Mello's boyfriend so of course I have to tease him a bout it "ohhhh I see that's why your in such a good mood" I said while scooting closer to him and making that weird teasing face Mello gently shoved me to the side "shut up" I laughed "I'm gonna go take a shower" "ok have fun Misa" "what the hell do you mean 'have fun' I'm taking a shower not going to a party" Mello laughed and went back to the book he was reading, he seemed to always be reading. Right now he was reading 'The Hero's Of Olympus' or something like that apparently it was really good because as soon as he starts reading he completely zone's out.

Random switch to Lights POV
I was given my morning pill with my breakfast as always Ryuk says it supposedly helps me digest it I don't know if that's true of not. I've been here since I was 12 and I'm still not used to the shit we have to do. I originally came here for rehab but it wasn't working very well so they decided to 'permanently' keep an eye on me whatever the hell that means. I was walking to the breakfast bar earlier when some girl ran into me she was pretty, she had golden blonde hair and beautiful grey/blue eyes, I wonder what she's here for. "Hey Light" "hey Near" Near is my roommate he's been here a bit longer then I have about 6 years I've been here for about 5. Yep you guessed it I'm 17 honestly it's not to bad living here, minus the constant searching and having to be monitored while showering or leaving our rooms in general. It's fucking annoying but you get used to it. "Hey Near I'm gonna go take a shower" "ok".

~small time skip~

As soon as I walked into the bathroom area with Ryuk on my trail of course I ran right into Misa again "oh my god I'm sorry Light I don't see you" I laughed a bit to myself "it's ok Misa" "we seriously need to stop running into each other like this.. literally we need to stop physically running into each other" she laughed a bit to herself "yeah" I said in a whisper "anyway I'm gonna head to the girls room now" " ok bye" " bye". Things like talking to people about just small things or playing board games with what few friends I have here, are what keep me going I've been on suicide watch so many times. It gets hard to keep living when I really have no one to live for.

Well Light hopefully that will change soon. Anyway I was planning on making this wayyyy longer but im getting antsy and i wanna post an actual chapter already so i hope you enjoyed the first chapter and I hope you come back for more
