Prologue - The aftermath of war

Times had changed drastically in the wizarding world since "The Boy Who Lived" had finally defeated Voldemort.

Enemies had become friends again and traditions, which had long been destined to change had finally done so. Hogwarts had been restored, the new headmistress, Professor Minerva McGonagall, had invited all those, who could never finish their education to do exactly that.

Some had returned, some had not. Some who had been an active part of the resistance had become famous. Some who had actually done a lot more than that, without expecting anything in return, had been overlooked and stayed the same as they always were.

Friendships that had broken apart had healed again, in the shared grief and sorrow of the loss. Those who had died and had left those behind had found peace, in a more merciful world and those who had longed death for a long time to be with loved ones again had finally been able to see them again.

Many of those who had chosen the wrong side had been taken to consequence and had to expect a lifelong sentence in Azkaban. Few had been rehabilitated by the ministry, but this rehabilitation had not changed how the public saw them. Looked upon with disgust, they now had to live with their mistakes in a manner, no one would wish for themselves.

The world had changed. Enemies had become friends. The streets had never been filled with so much joy and somehow, everything that had happened had strengthened the remaining. The light had finally come back, after seventeen years of war. A time of peace and love had returned and it felt as though no one could ever threaten that again. Of course, the light shadow of fear, that something could destroy that peace again remained. But for now, it was good. It was finally alright.

Welcome to my first Dramione-Fanfiction written in English. I'm sorry in advance, may some mistakes occur throughout the story, I am not a native speaker. This story will not be very long, I have written it for a friend originally, but now I've thought I could also upload it on here.
