Victim 1: victim's point of view:
My footsteps quickened as I hurried along the dimly lit street. With every breath that I took, My breathing became faster, heavier than the last. My heart pounded to the rythm of my feet as blood rushed to my ears, Making me go deaf in the silence that surrounded me. Beads of cold sweat dripped down my forehead as I slowed to a stop. My ears rang and silence engulfed me as I was left standing under a almost burnt out lamp post. The beating of my heart was the only thing I heard. No owl's hooting. No cars or buses driving past. Not even a mouse could be heard. This silence, it seemes eerie in a way. The tingling sensation of being watched came back, but as I looked around, I couldn't see anyone. The light of the full moon up ahead cast shadows around me, making it hard for me to tell which one was real and which one wasn't. It was just after midnight when I thought I saw one of the shadows move an inch. I laughed nervously and started muttering to myself. I had a few drinks, I was probably hallucinating all this. With that thought in mind, I carefully started to make my way home again but not before a voice made me freeze in terror. It sounded rough, yet soft. A weird combination. similar to sandpaper.
"where do you think you're going?" He said. It was easy to identify him as a male from the way he spoke and from the deepness of his voice.
I daren't answer as i felt the cold edge of a knife press against my neck. The moons light reflected off the knife, leaving a silver glimmer in it's path. I was scared. Anyone could see that miles away. I tried to move away discreetly but as soon as I did, the person tightened it's grip on me and drew the knife deeper into my skin, causing red blood to surface the skin. I tried to speak. Ask him who he was, what he wanted from me and why he was doing this. But I couldn't, my mouth had gone completely dry by now.
"Don't worry," He said, ignoring my trembling of fear. "It won't hurt...Much, so go to sleep."
And with a sinister laugh, he slid the knife straight through me. My eyes widened as I let out a silent scream just as pain consumed me. Just as the light was about to fade from my eyes, I saw his face. I stared in horror and felt him place a piece of paper in my hand. His laughter and surreal face haunted me even in death...
The note:
I was 13 living a normal life and had just moved into a new town with my beloved younger brother and parents. I felt pain start to emerge on the first day, like I was changing in a way. I felt it again again the next day as some people were bullying me at a bust stop. Their names? Randy, Keith, and Troy. They were picking on me and my younger brother, Liu and telling us that every kid in the neighborhood has to play along by handing over money.
The next day I was visited by some officers who had been reported witnesses of a kid beating up three others. I knew they suspected my brother for it so I confessed the truth. They then told me that I will be sent to a correctional facility for a year. But just then Liu had popped his head round the corner and took the blame to repay me for protecting him. Too bad he got arrested isn't it? It sent me into a depression that seemed to last forever...
