I wish I could get away she thought, as she looked out the window at the rain falling drearily.

"Oh but you can," said a little whisper in the back of her mind.


"How?"


"You know how."


"How many?"


"Depends on how far you want to go."


"But Mother said not to!"


"Fine. But I will be here waiting when you change your mind."


She paced back and forth, contemplating. She had almost beaten the voice in her head.


She remembered the fear in her mothers voice when she found her on the bathroom floor. Her hands trembling as she dialed 911. She still felt the anguish and fear as her mother screamed her name. Her mother flushed the pills praying to God that the call to 911 wasn't in vain. Praying that her only daughter had enough strength to hold on just a little longer
