Psychic Love ?!

Who did they think they are telling me I'm going to be introduced to the "love of my life"? How lame is that!? Seriously I can't believe I paid someone to read my palm to tell me something so stupid!!

Well I'm Adam, just a regular teenage boy, just sitting in the mall, pretty damn bored. You see I'm a very, hmm, well I kind of a shy boy so I don't exactly know how to talk to people I don't know and I find someone telling me I'm going to find the love of my life quite funny and just impossible. I say this well because I'm not much of a ‘ladies’ man. But this doesn't mean that I’m not popular cos I am, everyone thinks I've had a lot of girlfriends when the truth I've never had a girlfriend before. But I don't really care if people find out because I weren't the one spreading rumours about myself hooking up with girls.

O that’s my mate Brandon; well he is the opposite of me, very different. He can get any girl he wants; you know of one them playboys. But he isn't a bad guy, he’s just has had a lot of girlfriends. He treats them with respect and he is like gentlemen to them but most of them just take advantage of him. Just to get sex. Yeah you'd probably thought it would have been the opposite but it's not.

This is also why I don’t understand girls, are they all like this? If so then I don't think I want a girlfriend. EVER.

Yeah I know weird right but I don't exactly feel that it is necessary for me to get a girlfriend; I can wait until I'm ready, to be honest.

But this doesn't imply I don't have friends that aren't girls cos I have a lot of girls who are my friend and they all have been trying to hook me up with their friends or sisters or cousins. Or in this one case there’s this friend of mine, Jamie, I was at her house and her aunt walked in. I don’t know what Jamie was thinking but she thought she could hook me up with her. Seriously that woman was at least 30! The same age as my mum, honestly that was the worse, thankfully.

I was walking down the mall, nearing Mc Donald’s, when I saw her, exactly how they’d described her...

Flashback...

‘Come on it’s just for a laugh. You never know Adam, you might find something interesting in your life’ Brian exaggerated. I on the other hand rolled my eyes and could hear him snickering to himself.

He’s always done this made fun of me, but he’s like a brother, a pretty annoying brother to be honest.

‘Well you gonna go in then Muchacho?’ he teased yet AGAIN. I sighed and went into the tent.

The Great Psychic-Be Told the Future, if you’re ready...

‘Why, oh why’ I mumbled.

‘Come in my dear and let me tell you what you must know’ the psychic woman told me. She looked fairly old, wearing an orange turban. She had emerald green eyes which seemed to bore into my dull brown eyes. Like she was trying to find something. Not like there is anything there.

I sat down on the floor opposite the ‘psychic’. I really don’t know why I had to be here. Seriously.

‘Please dear, put your hands on the table and close your eyes’ she said whilst looking into my eyes. I hesitantly put my hands on the table and closed my eyes.  

She stroked my hands, which calmed my nerves, surprisingly.

‘Ahh your name boy, your name please?’ she said. She was still stroking my hands, and then I felt her let go and sensed her getting up.

‘A-adamm, ma’am’ I tried to peep to see where she went but she came back, sitting in front of me.

‘Adam, hmm you seem to live a good life, this is about to change. You will find the one you will fight for, the one you will care for, the one you will love forever. Though you are young it will happen, don’t dismiss this, it will be true love. Blue orbs that will bore into you, silky waves cascading like a waterfall and a heart of pure gold. Boy you will cherish her in many ways, don’t let her go...’ I felt this warmth exiting my body; it was really getting hot in this tent. Then suddenly I felt a gush of wind that chilled me right to the bone. ‘Child open your eyes and find this angel of yours, she will be waiting but remember child you will come across obstacle, overcome those and love and care for her. She’s been through a lot. Be a friend, someone she can come to when needed, just be there for her child. Adam you are a boy now, but I see in a few years you will be a great man, with a great heart. Just remember who you are, be true to those around you. Now go live your life child, go!’

End of flashback

Maybe, just maybe she was right ...
