MoonPaw scrambled anxiously into the den, wondering the many questions she could have for him. Especially if it's about Scruffpelt's injury. His paws stopped reaching sight of his leader. ShadowStar layed in darkness where the opening light was unwilling to reach. "Umm... h-hey, ShadowStar-" unfortunately she started talking before he could finish greeting her. "That's quite the wound on Scruffpelt I saw earlier, how is he doing?" Like you didn't hear what happened.. stop trying to get it out of me. MoonPaw just nodded as the thought searched his mind. ShadowStar showed no sign of anger when she turned around, even her eyes showed no emotion. "Am I in trouble?.." MoonPaw didn't bare to return his gaze any longer. Disappointment washed over his pelt. ShadowStar padded over and rested her nose on the tip of his head, her calm breath soothed him, "I know it was an accident.., I just wish you could've been honest with me.." she pulled away before she continued. "Now is not the season to lose warriors, let alone a Deputy. You didn't even bring back a shred of prey." MoonPaw was so worried about Scruffpelt he had completely forgotten about bringing back prey. "I-im such a mouse brain.." he muttered under his breath. ShadowStar just sighed before leaving her den, only to return, dropping a plump thrush at his paws. "Give that to the elders, I heard you'll be seeing them for about half a moon," MoonPaw just looked at the prey, his mouth watering before ShadowStar pulled it back. For the elders.." she emphasized. MoonPaw just rolled his eyes, returning gaze with his leader once again. "Yes ShadowStar.." he picked up the prey in his Jaws and padded out of the leaders den. PumpkinPaw was placing another round of cobwebs on Scruffpelt's wound and looked up, giving MoonPaw a smile through the wod of cobwebs in his mouth. "Pumpkinpaw you need to focus if you're ever going to be a medicine cat!" He heard WindShadow rasp from inside. Pumpkinpaw walked back into the den embarrassed, MoonPaw just sighed and walked over to the elders den, the prey still grasped in his jaw.

"Hey Moonpaw! Is that for us?" He recognized Ravenleap's voice. A gentle smile lay on her face, her smoky pelt glistening in the moonlight. It's no secret that Willowpaw gets that from her. "Y-yeah, here.. apparently you're gonna have a new denmate for awhile.." Moonpaw laid the thrush onto the ground next to Emeraldshine's paw. Specklefrost curled her lip in disgust, turning her gaze around to the other side of the nest. "Oh great, another cat to snore up the den, now we'll never get some sleep." Ravenleap nudged her denmate with her paw. "Forgive her, she hasn't been exactly thrilled since Ravenleap joined the den a few seasons ago." Emeraldshine explained. He knew they were trying to comfort him, but now he just felt worse. He was supposed to be a warrior by now! And instead he's stuck cleaning fleas off of cats who are too old to do it themselves!. This is going to be the worst leaffall ever.
