Words of silence

Words. They are scary things that can build you up or bring you down. Full of love and hate, mystery and misery.
Words form stories. Words form thoughts and emotions that are unspeakable.
Yet for some reason I cannot use the roughly 1,000,000 words of modern English language to fully articulate how much I love you.  Hankering, amorousness, ardency, these synonyms are not enough. The closest thing I have found is Agape, Greek.
Words are significant. They are what make vows, the quiet whispers of the early morning. They are the stupid little arguments in the kitchen. The drunken songs sung to our hearts content. The gentle words of encouragement and reassurance.
Yet silence speaks volumes. It's the walking down the aisle with tears in our eyes. It's holding our children for the first time.  The silent comfort,  the hearts beating together. It's  intimate moments of embrace. It's the pitter patter of the rain against the window as we're cuddled up. It's the first kiss, the first hug, the first dance.
Silence is loud and booming of words known but unsaid. The silence is louder than words yet it stands alone. I hope you can hear my words of silence. Love, meg <3
