"Ooohhohhh~ I do, I do, I dooo~" I sung along to the music track as I bounced around the room, using my ice cream spoon as a pretend microphone.
"Heyy~ Ohhohh~ I do, I do, I dooo~"
Cole sat on the couch and snickered at me. I scowled at him, grabbing his wrist and pulling up from the couch, grabbing his spoon as well.
I shoved his spoon at him and he groaned.
"Jay! I can't sing!"
"Well neither can I!" I giggled and the song continued, "Boy you got me helplesss~ Look into your eyes- and the skys the limit!"
I threw him a goofy grin and spun us in a circle. "C'mon just sing!"
'I'm helpless~' The song continued in the background.
"Down for the count and I'm, drownin in em!" Cole and I sang in sync. I gasped dramatically and covered my mouth. "I thought you couldn't sing?!"
'I have never been the one to grab the spotlight,'
He smiled sheepishly, "Don't push it bluebell."
'We were at a revel with some rebels-'
"-On a hot night!" We finished the lyric together, shoving our faces super close to the others, mimicking excited school girls.
"Laughing at my sister as she's dazzling the room,"
"Then you walked in, and my heart went-"
"Boom!"
I loved when we finished each other's lyrics, it felt so much more complete.
'Tryna catch your eye from the side of the ballroom,'
"Everybody's dancin and the band's top volume," I swooned, leaning against Cole dramatically.
'Grind to the rhythm as we wine and dine! Grab my sister and whisper-'
"Yo, this one's mine~" Cole whispered at me grinning, making me flush a light pink and I threw a lopsided smile at him.
'My sister made her way across the room to you~ and I got nervous thinkin "whats she gonna do?"
She grabs you by the arm, I'm thinkin I'm through, then you look back at me and suddenly-'
"I'm helpless~" I sang and closed my eyes, leaning a hand against my forehead jokingly, still grinning. "Look into your eyes, and the skys the limit."
Cole grabbed my wrist and pulled me close, placing a quick kiss on my hair
'I'm helpless~'
"Down for the count and I'm-"
"Drownin in em~" We sang together spinning around.
'Where are you taking me?
I'm about to change your life.
Then by all means, lead the way.'
"Elizabeth Schuyler. It's a pleasure to meet you." I stepped back from Cole, curtsying while holding back a laugh.
"Schuyler?" Cole said, also scrunching up his face to stop himself from laughing.
'My sister,'
"Thank you for all your service,"
"If it means fighting a war for us to have met, it will have been worth it." He put his hand out and I took it. Cole pulled me in and put a hand around my waist, lifting me a little and spinning us around.
'I'll leave you to it.
One week later, I'm writing a letter nightly~ now my life gets better with every letter that you write me!'
I wrapped my hands around the dark haired boy and leaned my head against his chest laughing lightly still.
"So you can sing then, hm?" I lifted my head to look at him.
'Laughing at my sister cos she wants to form a harem-
I'm just sayin if you really loved me you would share him
Ha!'
"Zip it zap trap." He rolled his eyes smiling. "Yanno, my dad made me do singing lessons?"
'Two weeks later in the living room stressin, my father stone faces while you're askin of his blessin'
"No way?!" I said sarcastically, "knowing YOUR dad of course he did dirtcold."
'Dying inside as you wine and dine and I'm trying not to cry cos there's nothing that your mind cant do~'
He scoffs with a smile, "Motormouth."
"Boulder brain."
"Lord of the jig."
"Jerkwad-"
"Would you two shut it?" Kai groaned from the entrance of the room, turning the light on.
I giggled and stepped back from Cole sheepishly who was huffing at Kai.
Kai turned the movie off and then switched on the news. I snuck a quick kiss with Cole.
"Eww thats gay!" Kai fake gagged.
"Says you!" We said in sync, all laughing.
