I'm Claire Parker I'm 11 years old . I have a dream , to make it to the Olympics . My father died 3 years ago . I always thought I couldn't do gymnastics so I never bothered trying my dad used to tell me : you will never know if you don't try . That's were it all started
My best friend clover was at the competitive gymnastics team meet .
I watched her in amazement as she preformed perfect tumbling . She got 1st on floor , 1st on beam ,1st on bars and 1st on vault . When she was done I said " wow , I wish I could do that " . Clover said " hey, you now there is competitive team try-outs on Saturday" . "You should try out!" "Are you kidding me I can do a cartwheel , roundoff and a front walkover ". I said "That's it , I would not make it , not in a million years" " you never know if you don't try " clover said . " stop saying that " I said " you know that's what HE used to say " . " Well actually it's not exactly what he said but , stop anyway " .
