Chapter 1, Part 1: Days before the storm

"Oh this flavor would go really well with this year's event, birthday!"
"Your welcome Tendy! This year is another special one right?"
"Don't you remember that it's 10 days before our 40th anniversary?"
"Oh sorry! I was busy with alot of Caring missions."
"Hmmfh! Just hope it doesn't go that bad like the 5th year one"
"Oh Grumpy, you just always remember that one, don't you?"
"Well, nearly all of Care-A-Lot was destroyed in that event and hugs and tugs where kidnapped, and we all almost died! Don't you remember that?"
"That was 35 years ago. And no heart, Professor Coldheart, or even that book spirit had ruined our anniversary since!"
"Sorry. I'm just having self doubts. Anyways what's this year's biggest thing anyway?"
"Well, it's for when we reached world wide fame of course! Just about nearly every young boy and girl knows our name!"
"Yeah. I wonder if all the invitations for our human friends, and others for that matter aswell, have been sent."
"Almost done with those grumpy. Got a few more. This year's gonna be lit!"
"I wonder if John Dawn and Christy will come this year!"
"I hope Jake will come with his friends like last year!"
"I wonder if Lucas will bring Claus with him, I want to meet him cause I never got the chance!"

Care-A-Lot, a land of feelings and love. Home to the Care Bear Family. Founders of caring, they protect love and caring than any other creature yet. Today was a setup day, as Care-A-Lot was to become 40 years old, and the bears celebrated every 10 years with one of their biggest parties yet. More exactly, a reunion party for those they've cared for. This year the modernization of today's world had become extremely advance in Care-A-Lot, so now they could age regress friends they've made, with their consent of course. This year they wanted to change all their friends to when they first met them. Many had grown up taller and bigger. Kevin, when he first met the Care Bears, was now 46 years old. He had married Donna and now has a family of his own. Kim, after the events of the first movie, got adopted by new parents and grew up marrying Nicholas, and started a orphanage of their own. Even those from 20 to 10 years ago had grown up dramatically, psychically and mentally. It made every Care Bear smile when they think back on them, tho some have forgotten about them, but not by much. They may not know their names but they know them by what everyone else says: Care Bears. And even some villains gave up on being mean. But some still stuck. No heart at this point had grown old and was beginning to show his elder age. Shreeky was now 23 at this time, and did her best with her uncle's work, but now everything for her, everyday passed and she seemed, less uncsring. Even no heart. He had captured Loyal heart dog a few weeks ago but let him go, a trait no heart would've never done 40 years prior. Frostbite had been missing for months, and even the coldest of all hearts, Professor Coldheart, seemed to lose his uncaring ways. He had grown older than ever before, and he wanted Frostbite back. It was then that he realized of all his doings, and how he mistreated Frostbite and Auntie Freeze. As such he had grown from uncaring, and started something new. But there was one who hadn't changed. And he didn't change for good, but he got worser...

The party design had been put up, and the family cheered. It was a contribution of everyone's hard work (i.e. Birthday's food, Cheer's decorations, etc.). All day the Care Bear Family worked out Care-A-Lot and it's new park. Woo-hoo world was refurbished, and the citizens of Joke-a-Lot landed some stuff from their place so they could include everyone and everything. But now that was left was a theme before the party really started. But no one could agree what should it be. Some requested a Brazil type parade sort of party. Others wanted a bbq styled one. Nobody could agree on what theme, until hugs recommended a circus type party. That got everyone agreeing. A year ago was the 35th anniversary of what made them extremely popular, the first theatrical Care Bear film. So it be perfect to include a circus type as they missed out last year, do to an issue on Earth. But now they could do it. "Well, looks like the idea is a go. Funshine, go to Joke-a-Lot and ask if we could lend the largest tent they have. Wish, playful heart, and champ start planning on some performances, Brave Heart go to the hall of hearts and find all the chairs and tables you got in there, and I'll start planning out some stuff."
"Wait who made you the leader?"
"I didnt, I wanted to sound important"
"Well, you were always like that Tenderheart."
