Ben and Davina took a small drive up to the diner that was close by. It was well known on the Rez and many of the locals were always popping by. It was locally owned but a cute couple just newly engaged. It had the best deserts in town, mostly known for her muffins.
When Davina walked in she saw a couple people in the the back booth. A pack of guys with all the same look. All hair toned bodies, nice tan skin, and a tattoo on the side of their arms. She couldn't help but feel a slight ringing in her head causing her to flinch. Ben saw this and stood by her side, "Davina are you?" He helped her in case she were to faint.
"Yeah, yeah. I just need something to drink. Just a bit light headed" she lied.
They took a seat on the countertop waiting for someone to bring them a menu. A girl with bangs and a bright smile, welcomed Ben and Davina in and handed them their menus.
"Hi guys is there anything I can get you to drink?" She said with a soft voice.
Ben looked at Davina who was still massaging her temples, "ah just two waters please" he gestured with his hands. She smiled and went back to get their drinks.
"Hey, are you okay? What was that back there?" He said huddling over her.
"Yeah, perfect. I just- I didn't eat before I came and. You know the blood pressure" Davina tried to cover herself up.
The lady came back handing over their drinks, "and if there's anything you guys need just call me over. My names Emily, and I'd be happy to assist you guys" she said with the most sincere smile. When Davina looked up towards Emily she noticed a few marks on her. She wasn't sure where something like that could happen, but that could not be from a human attack, nor a bear, not even a vampire attack.
Ben thanked Emily for the waters. She replied with a nod, "are you guys from around here?"
"Oh no, we're from forks. Just came by to La Push Beach for an art project about the scenery." Ben admitted.
"Oh you guys draw? I'll say I've always wanted someone to decorate the windows out there. Would you guys be able to do that? I'll even pay you." She begged.
"Oh you'd have to ask Davina for that, the best I could do is stick figures but even then the lines wouldn't be straight. Davina is actually gifted with art skills." He said looking towards her.
Davina snapped out of her thoughts, when they both turned and stared at her.
"What do you say? Would you be able to draw something?" She asked
"Sure I could come by again" she slept a small smile.
"Thank you so much! I'll have to call my fiancé and sister to see what we can have you do. Omg maybe you could even paint me a wedding portrait." Emily kept going on and on about her fiancé, sister, and wedding when she looked at Davina, "you know you look very familiar. Have we ever met before?" Emily asked not quiet remembering if she's known her at all.
