Walter's POV
I knew something was wrong the moment she walked in the garage door but I couldn't quite pin point what it was. Paige was always so happy and energetic in the morning but today she seemed a little off, when she came to the garage in the mornings she would normally say her hellos to everyone and grab a coffee but today was different. When she walked in she gave a small smile before disappearing upstairs. Something was wrong and I wanted to know what.
Paige's POV
I could tell Walter was concerned. I had walked into the garage that morning and not said my normal hellos to the team but I knew that if I spoke I wouldn't be able to control what I said, and I couldn't risk the team knowing just yet. They couldn't find out before I told Ralph.
I was upstairs in the garage going through the texts on my phone trying to let everything sink in. I hadn't replied to any of the texts he sent me because I didn't know how to reply. As I was staring at my phone the phone downstairs began to ring, like always it got left to go to voicemail to see whether it was important enough to answer. Thinking it was just another job I stayed were I was on the couch. Only then did I hear his voice "Hi this is Drew and I need to speak to paige so if you could call me back as soon as possible that would be great, oh and just to let you know I'm back in town and wanted to talk. so yeah... call me" and then he hung up. I had run to the doorway and down the stairs but it was too late, the team had already heard it all. "Um Paige, who was that?" Toby asked leaning against the beam next to me. Walter had come to stand beside him with his hands in his pockets and Happy had put her tools down and was walking towards me so I whispered "Ralph's dad". Toby leaned in Nd asked me to speak a little loader so I closed my eyes, sighed and replied "that was Ralph's dad".
