"Next!" Shouts Terry, the harsh director. I can tell that she hated that last performance. Oh no. I'm getting a little worried right now. What if she doesn't like me? What if I don't even make this play at all? Questions flood my brain and before I know it, she is calling my name! Serina Grace Lee.
"What? Me? Oh. Ok." I say nervous as ever. I walk shakily up to the large stage and look up to see the spotlight shining down on me. I know that this is where I'm meant to be, up here, on this stage, right now.
The music starts playing fast and I close my eyes. Breathe in and out, in and out. Then my feet start moving. I don't know what makes them go, but they start pulling me around the stage and spring me from the ground to fall down again in a spin. I start singing.
"I've heard it said, that people come into our lives, for a reason. Bringing something we must learn." For good. Probably one of my favorite songs ever! I'm auditioning for the part of Alphaba in Wicked at the children's Guthrie theatre.
Before I know it, I'm landing my last pirouette and bowing to a small applause. then I walk off the stage to the ground floor and sit back down.
"Ok thank you for that Serina. We are done her now. I think we have everything we need." Wait, what? There are still other people here to audition! Did I make them feel sick so they wouldn't want to stay? Did I suck so bad that they knew I was not going to be in anything ever again? So many questions unanswered. I would just have to wait until tomorrow when the cast list would be posted.
