Reworked Chapter of: Family Dinner

(sorry i dont wanna rewrite the whole family thing, just in advance)

As you walk into the take-out pizza place, you fumble with your wallet, ignoring the glances a few people gave you. You quickly pay and grab the pizza, walking out.

Your anxiety was getting to you, if you were going to be honest. The pizza was for yourself, since you did live alone. Your (F/T) pizza was still hot, much to your pleasure. Though despite feeling better, your mind drifted to the same animatronic rabbit you had been thinking about since Paul's demise.

Once you were inside, you sit down, taking a bite, not paying attention to a couple of texts buzzing from your phone.

Well, until it begins to ring, startling you. You set down your half-eaten slice of pizza and answer, sighing internally as your mom begins to speak.

///

You were exhausted. Since you usually ate a quick snack and went to bed, you usually felt fine but since your parents had insisted you stay for a while to have dinner and talk, you only had about two hours for sleep.

You groan as you set an alarm, flopping down onto your bed and falling asleep almost immediately.

But as soon as you seemed to go to sleep, your alarm went off, making you sit up in a flash, causing your back to stretch out in a weird way. You rub it, attempting to massage it, but failing. You grab your phone and change, trembling a bit as you think about what had happened again.

You felt stupid for not calling the police or even quitting. Your body began to shake even more, your keys slipping from your fingers.

"Stupid butter fingers..." You mumble, feeling better as to blaming your hands instead of yourself. You pick them up and walk out to your car, hesitantly climbing in.

Minutes later you parked, looking up at the building in front of you. You shiver again, getting out. Your anxiety begins to creep in, making you regret everything.

But that feeling still remained. That lingering feeling of attachment and want. Was it to see that... Thing, again?

That had to be it. Right?

You slowly walk in, looking around.

No sign of him. Good.

You make it to your office, thanking the universe that you hadn't ran into him. You flip on the cameras, immediately seeing him looking at a wall, his back turned to the cameras. You squint your eyes, seeing that he was holding a little kid's drawing, studying it, almost.

You zoom in on the camera, wincing at the loud noise it made. You watch as the robot flinches, then turns to look at the camera, his eyes widening in what looked to be surprise. He raises his hand, and you expect the worst.

Until he gives you a timid wave, his mouth turning into a slight smile.
