"let me guess, you like my jacket?"
hendery smiled with a laugh, followed by a nod, "free later?"
"wha-" yangyang tilted his head, leaning against the wall of the building waiting for xiaojun to arrive, "yeah, i think so?"
"wanna hang out?" hendery asked, moving the boy's hair out of his eyes, as he could see that it was irritating him.
"thank you-" he said with a laugh, "and uh- maybe? where were you thinking?"
"we could go to mine?" he suggested, as yangyang scrolled through his phone mindlessly. usually he'd be offended if someone was using their phone while he was talking, but as it was yangyang, it gave him more opportunity to just admire him, "i mean- unless you dont want to, or you have anywhere else in mind?"
"we could go to yours," yangyang nodded, looking up, "we could play video games like we did in middle school."
hendery scoffed, remembering their friendship back when they were kids. he missed it. he liked yangyang back then too, but he never admitted it, as he didnt even know liking boys was possible. he just thought he made him happy, that's all.
it has always been alot more than that.
"yeah, or do you wanna go anywhere else?"
"i- yeah- no," hendery laughed, not realising he'd actually spaced out for a moment, "we can go to mine, i dont mind!"
yangyang nodded slowly, as a silence rose between them. hendery smiled, and yangyang just shut his eyes, waiting for xiaojun to arrive.
he felt comfortable for some reason. hendery made him feel peaceful.

the two sat in hendery's car, watching people leave the school. they were both tired, so sitting in the front seats and resting for a moment seemed like an amazing idea.
"ten's throwing a party tonight, do you wanna go?" hendery asked, looking over to the boy who just shook his head quickly, "thought so, that's alright." he laughed.
"you can go, you could just drop me off home," yangyang smiled, "i dont mind."
hendery shook his head, "if i didnt wanna hang out with you i wouldn't have asked," he started the car, passing yangyang a chewy candy from his bag, "try this. ten gave me a load of them yesterday, they're scattered everywhere-"
yangyang placed the sweet into his mouth, as hendery pulled away from school. he looked out the window at everyone, "mm.. its nice."
"you like it?" hendery chuckled, "you can have some, i've got fucking tonnes of them, man."
"mm.." yangyang laughed, "i see that- uh- can i open the window?"
"yeah go ahead, i dont mind," the older replied, before looking over to the boy, as they reached a red light, "you doing okay? you seem distant."
"i get a bit icky in cars," yangyang admitted, "i'm tired too though, i'll be fine when we get to yours, dont worry."
without a second thought, hendery passed yangyang a bottle of water, "i bought this earlier, didnt drink it, you can have it," he smiled, "you should've told me and we could've walked silly."
"no, it's fine!" yangyang smiled, nodding, " i'm fine, promise."
hendery smiled, nodding too, admiring yangyang, once again. he found him unbearably pretty, and he wouldnt even hide it anymore. he'd admire his pretty face when he was looking, he didnt care.
he just found his tan skin, long eyelashes, fluffy hair, and pretty lips so fascinating. he longed to be able to admire them fully.
until the light turned green again, and he had to focus on the road, and not yangyang's pretty lips.
-
"yangyang!" hendery's mom smiled, "i missed having you over.."
"mom, he was over the other day-"
"yes kunhang," she laughed, "but yang was sick, so i couldn't see him properly, silly."
hendery rolled his eyes jokingly, taking yangyang's bag, hanging it on a hook, and standing behind him, holding his shoulders, "well, mom, me and yangyang are gonna regress to our twelve year old selves, dont mind us!"
"that's cute," she smiled, "do you want any snacks?"
"what like?"
"i could make nuggets.."
"... yes please,"
his mom laughed, "i cant believe i'm here about to make two eighteen year old boys chicken nuggets."
"y'know, atleast we're not doing drugs!" hendery giggled, pulling yangyang by the arm, to his room.
"i've missed your mom."
hendery smiled, laying down on his bed. yangyang sat next to him, clearly not as comfortable yet, "i've missed you."

"this shit is so funny- i swear they refuse to believe i like men."
"you're bisexual arent you?" yangyang asked, laying back on hendery's bed, reading the girl's desperate messages.
"preference. i prefer men."
"oh right-"
