THE ACADEMY

Gabrielle's pov;

I woke up feeling ecstatic, me and my bestfriend got our letters of acceptance to the academy yesterday and we've been buzzing ever since, the letter also had a list of the stuff we need based on our sports, I play football and Destiny swims -she's actually quite amazing at it-, so we have to head to a bunch of different places to get what we need.

"Good morning Des" I said heading into the kitchen, Destiny was on the sofa watching TV
"Morning Gab, what're we doing today?"
"Heading to IKEA to get some stuff for storing"
"What time?"
"How about in 5 hours? I've got the gym and some meeting I've got to attend, but I'm free after"
"No worries I have swim practice in an hour anyway"
"Alright I'll see you here at 4 then"
"Yeah"

I got breakfast then went back in my room to get into my gym clothes and pack my usual gym bag, today I decided on listening to an audio book so I took my headphones and chose a book.

"They haven't got diary of a wimpy kid? That's trash" I quietly muttered to myself scrolling through my options.
"Oh wait no there it is" I saw the book I wanted and downloaded it.

Heading out of the apartment I made sure to say goodbye to Destiny and grab a set of house keys with me incase Destiny's not back home in time, I also grabbed my metro card and headed out.

Getting to the gym I did a light everyday workout, I keep the intense workouts for when I'm training at my local football club, my dream is to graduate the academy then play for one of the big league clubs, hopefully Man City or Chelsea.

Finishing my workout I took a shower at their bathroom and put my clothes back on, heading out I saw Tyler, my gym buddy who also applied to the academy after I've informed him of it.

"Hey Tyler"
"Hey Gab, how are you doing?"
"I'm fine, just finished with the gym and was about to head out and grab lunch, are you done? We can go together."
"Yeah I've just finished, let me take a shower and I'll be right there"
"Okay I'll be here"

I plugged my headphones in and began listening to my audio book.

I felt a sudden tap on my shoulder, I looked over and saw an unfamiliar face.

"Can I help you?" I asked
"Yeah can you please point me in the direction of the showers?"
"Yeah it's right over there" i pointed over to the big sign saying showers and put my headphones back in.
"Oh right" he tapped my shoulders again.
"What?" I didn't want to come off as mean but somehow my tone let me down.
"I didn't quite catch your name"
"That's cause I haven't told you my name"
"That's true... I'm Phil" he put his hand out for me shake, hesitantly I returned the favor.
"I'm Gabriella"

He opened his mouth to say more but Tyler had approached us.

"Ready to go?" He asked not noticing the taller man standing next to me.
"Yeah, see ya around Phil" I turned to say to him before linking hands with Tyler and heading out.

"Stop it! Your hair is so wet" I put my hands up as a shield to protect me from the splash of water coming from Tyler.
"Sorry but I've got to dry my hair one way or another"
"Use your stupid towel asshole" I laughed and threw the towel at his face.

We rode the metro to a nearby sushi place for lunch.

"So what've you got going on today Gab?"
"I've got some meetings and then IKEA with Destiny" I said covering my mouth to speak.
"What've you got in IKEA then?"
"Shopping for some stuff for the academy"
"THAT'S RIGHT, I forgot to tell you"
"What?"
"I've got accepted too, received the news this morning via email"
"THAT'S GREAT, basketball right?"
"Yup, I've already got everything tho so I don't need to go shopping like you and Des, how is she btw?"
"Still got that wee crush? She's fine"
"I'm not crushing on her" he pulled a confused face
"Right. And I don't play football"
"I don't."
"Okay dropping it"
"Good. Do you need help with carrying your stuff later?"
"I think we can handle it thanks"
"Alright but you can't call me like you always do"
"I don't do that"
"Right."
"Hey what time is it?"
"It's 1:45"
"I've got to go, thank you so much for lunch I had a great time; but now I've got a meeting to get to, see you at the academy"

I got up to hug him goodbye and headed to my meeting.

"If we do this right we might get you a signing with the bigger clubs" one of the men said
"Are you serious? Can we do that really?"
"Well with you going to the academy in a week, it's 100% possible, you just got to work harder than you have in that academy, it's not like the club you go to everyday, it's more intense"
"Yeah I've got it 100% don't worry"
"I wasn't worrying"

My meetings finally ended close to 4 pm, and I headed straight home.

I turned my key and entered my home.
"DESTINY I'M HOME" I shouted
"IN HERE GAB" I heard a muffled scream from the bathroom.
I stood outside the door and knocked to let her know I'm near.
"Hey when you're done let me know so I can take a shower and we can go alright?"
"I'm almost done"

"What do you think of this here?" Destiny said holding up a few white storage containers.
"White is too plain get another color"
"But white goes with everything, we can get these in white and then everything else can be in print yaknow?"
"Okay I see that, but what if we get it in a different color? Brown goes with a lot of things too"
"Maybe, let's get both colors? Mix and match?"
"Yes! Love that"

We got home and threw all the bags in the guest room beside our suitcases, not bothering to deal with them at the moment, by now it was 11 pm and we were both beyond tired when the doorbell rang.

"Not it!" I said first
"Fine" said Destiny getting up and dragging her feet to open the door
Tyler flew past her and ran to the living room,
"GUESS WHAT?"
"What is it Tyler? It's literally 11 pm"
"WE'RE DORMMATES"
"SAY SWEAR" said Destiny
"I SWEAR TO GOD"
"GUYS! Please lower your voice I'm dying here" I said
"Are you not happy? We should be celebrating" Tyler said frowning
"Can we celebrate by taking a nap?" I said half asleep
"Yeah that's fine with me" said Tyler and Destiny at the same time.

[A/N] hey guys, first chapter done! The next chapters will probably be out in a few days I have no idea, they'll make it to the academy in a few chapters maybe I have no idea.
