»You sure?« He asked while putting the climbing gear on me. What the hell was I doing? I'm terrified of heights and I volunteer to climb this huge…huge wall. I looked up, all the way to the celling. So fucking high. He tightened up the belt around my waist and stared into my eyes.
»Yeah, piece of cake.« I swallowed nervously. Okay, you can do this, you can do this. I took a deep breath and put my right leg on one of those climbing plastic rock thingies. I lifted myself up and grabbed onto a yellow rock. Okay, now just don't look down. Or up. Wow, I'm actually doing this! I was at he half of the climbing wall, when my hands started shaking. I stopped and closed my eyes. »You can do this.« I whispered to myself. I took another deep breath and pulled myself up.
I couldn't believe it. I actually climbed all the way to the top. My hands were all sweaty and my knees were shaking, but I did it! I smiled in relieve and looked down. What a stupid thing to do. I suddenly got so dizzy…everything was spinning in front of my eyes, I was just so high up. My heart started beating crazy fast and I pulled myself closer towards the wall. I was gripping onto those climbing rocks like my life depended on it. Just don't fall, please don't fall. I closed my eyes and leaned my forehead on the wall, panting heavily.
»Haven, are you okay?« I heard his voice from the depths.
»Y…Yup, a…awesome. J…Just resting a bit.« I answered with a cracked voice, laughing nervously.
»Can you come down?« His voice seemed somewhat worried.
»Um, j…just give me a m…minute.« Okay, I just have to let go…I opened my eyes and looked down and everything became dizzy again. No, hell no. I can't. I'm gonna fall. So high. Hell no. I'm just gonna stay up here.
»Haven?« I heard his voice again. This was so embarrassing. I knew that everyone was looking at me. I'm so fucking pathetic. Can't even climb a goddamn wall.
»I…I can't.« I confessed. Will the humiliation ever end?
»Okay, just stay there. I'm coming to get you.« Where the hell am I gonna go, you idiot? I heard him climbing up, but I couldn't look. I was just so dizzy…so fucking scared. My arms were seriously hurting now and my knees were shaking. I won't be able to hold on much longer.
»Haven?« I heard a familiar voice next to my face. I opened my eyes and stared into his gorgeous blue lagoon ones. His raven black hair was falling over his face. He furrowed his eyebrows, looking questionably at me.
»I…I um, I'm scared of heights.« I mumbled.
»Seriously?« He smirked.
»Shut up.« I whispered and leaned my forehead back onto the wall. What was I doing here? Why did I climb this wall again? I started shaking and tears sneaked into my eyes. I tried calming myself down by taking long and deep breaths.
»Oh crap, you really are scared of heights.« I sensed a pinch of nervousness in his voice.
»No s…shit, Sherlock.« I growled with my broken voice.
»Okay,« He grabbed my hand which was gripping onto the plastic rock. »can you look at me?«
I opened my eyes and saw him gazing at me with a concerned expression on his face. He did look sort of cute.
»If I hold your hand, will you be able let go? We'll move slowly, like really slow, I promise.« He asked.
I looked down again, my heart beating even faster and tears in my eyes were just begging to slip down my cheeks. I shook my head.
