That night seemed to last for years. We were all heart broken, except for me, I was torn. The last thing I remember was me waving to them, as they drove off.
I guess it was a good thing that it was a good memory and not a bad one. I don't think I could've taken it if it was a bad one, all that hatred, the regrets....It would swallow me up into ablivion.
I was surrounded by everyone I loved. Mikayla and her brother ended up appearing again, Mikayla stood infront me. Her ghostly eyes were sad. If it was even possible for ghosts to be sad.
I guess there were some things I wouldn't understand. Some tgings were better left undiscovered about a world we wouldn't dare yet travel to.
I felt a small cold draft roll in, as I saw Mikayla reach out and put her hand over mine. She could feel me and I couldn't feel her, but the thought that this dead maid's ghost was trying to comfort me.
Jamnie was no where in the room. I looked at Mikayla and smiled, I then quitely asked "Where's Jamnie?"
"Upstairs in your room." Replied Michael, he was trying to comfort Jackie.
I slowly stood up and made my way pass my parents big bedroom into my bedroom, where I saw Jammie sitting on the bed with his face burried in his legs. I could see that he was crying, his soft whimpers were like glass digging in my skin.
I slowly walked over to where he sat. I sat right next to him placing my hand on his, thightening my grip in a reassuring manor. He slowly looked up at me, tears still streaming down his face. I reached out and wiped the tears away from his face, taking in the electrical sensation I always got when our skin touched.
I smiled at him and pulled his face closer, until he was laying on my shoulder. I felt him shaking like he was trying to fight new tears from pouring out. I thought it was cute.
I pulled his face away from my shoulder, enough where I could look into his eyes, they were so bright blue. I wiped to new tears away, And leaned forward kissing each spot that a new tear fell on. In doing so I managed to earn a small bright smile from him followed by a warm chuckle.
I stopped, just long enough to look in to his eyes once more. This time i could see relief, joy, and love. I had achieved my mission, but now I didn't think I could stop. I slowly leaned in the gap and placed a small kiss on his lips. They were so soft, so warm. It felt refreshing, I wasn't surprised when he kissed back, but more force.
We sat there kissing and earning moans from each other as we nibbled on each others neck and kissed passionately. I gently pulled Jammie closer and placed him in my lap. I guess we lost track of time, I heard a soft knock on the door and a noise that resembled the clearing of one clearing there throat.
I pulled back and noticed that Clyde, Mikayla and her brother Michael were standing in the door frame. Jammie nervously chuckled and I just sat there laghing my cheeks felt like they were on fire with embarasment, Jammie was just stuttering and mumbling. I thought it was cute, actually it was just him, he was cute. Everything was cute, I was glad I still had him.
"Hey Jayden, you might wanna come hear who is trying to clame custody of you now." Said Clyde he was oddly cheery about it to.
I walked out of my room and down the stairs, my hand never left Jammie's. I made it to the arch of the livingroom entrance way. where I was surprised to see that the whole room had been filled with family and friends. I saw: the gypsy woman, both mom and dads bosses, Mikayla amd Micheal were hidden only so I could see them, but the person who stood out was Bethany.
What was she doing here?
"I can't believe your fighting for him. He has no relation to you." said mom's boss
"Actually I have more relation to him than the four of you do, him and his parents were there for my little cousin more times than I would like to count, his parents assigned me as the poor kids, godmother! How dare you come at me and try to insult me! Jayden and Jackie are already like brother and sister. Once school starts back in the next few months they will atend school and we will all be happy. I know whats best for him, he's like a brother to me...."
Beth was fight to gain custody of me? Why didn't mom and dad tell me they plaxed her as my godmother?
Beth was standing a little uneasy, her expression was full of rage and a certain expression. She paused just enough to notice me standing in the dorrway of the livingroom. "Jayden?" her face soften and I could tell her eyes were red, meaning at some point she had been crying.
Jammie walked beside me and grabbed my hand. I looked at him and he smiled, I gues I had no choice this had to be dealt with sooner or later. I had to face it and move on, my parents loved me, but they weren't coming back and if they wanted Beth to look after me I suported that.
I looked at her soft expression and slowly walked over to where she stood. I smiled at her, hugged her.
"Thank you, Beth. I'm ok, I support you."
"Well I'm still waiting for the call to give me the ok, I've already made my case. I'll know the answer by the morning. Would it be ok if I stayed over for the night?" she asked hugging me back.
Jack walked over and placed her hand on my shoulder. When I pulled back she looked at me and smiled "Well it looks like we're related now you giant meet sack!!" she laughed
I laughed with her, it felt good to laugh "Oh, yeah you no good party planner" I replied jokefully
It was even funny when she took it offensive, she gasped and said "That was insulting, there is no way that that was my fault." she said
"So what is all of this?" I asked
everyone's happy mood seemed to switch back to depressed, like switching a light off. "Well Jay, this is our attempt to have a quite and respectful funeral for your parents, because in our hearts they are always with us, alive." Beth said her voice was soft and fragile. I haven't seen this part of Beth before, it was alien, new, least expected.
We all were surprised to hear a knock on the door. I looked at Beth and Jackie, their expression told me they had no idea who it was. I stormed over to the door and I almost punched her square in the face. There stood the same blonde headed bitch who stabbed Jackie at the halloween party, but before I could react she interupted my movement with something unexpected.
"I'm so sorry Jay." she held out her hand and handed me a white rose.
She made it all this way, now I had a decision to make. It doesn't matter how mad I was or how bad I wanted revenge I had to make the decision to let her in or walk in the rain.
