Chapter 10

The next day

When the next day (during lunch) came around Douma had his cult duties to do, as much as he and you wanted to spend time with eachother he still had to do them.  So you decided to go out again. You were mostly bored and you didn't know what to do so that was your only option. You heard there was a book store close by so you decided to see what that was all about.

"I'll be back Douma I promise! I'm gonna go see the new book shop." You told him while Douma kept holding you in a hugging position.

"Don't leave me!!" He said as you tried to escape the grasp he held onto you.

"I promise I'll come back ok.." You reassured him as you let go of the hug.

"Ok... I'll be waiting." He said as he waved to you. You waved back and went out of the temple to walk over to the book shop.

"What a lovely little shop this is." You said entering the book shop and started looking around.

You spent a good time looking around until you found a few books to your liking until you saw anothe book that caught your attention.

"Poisions and Heals?.." You picked up the book and read the first page that gave introductory on what is was about.

"Poisions?.. Medicines.. Interesting.." You didn't think you'd need the book but you looked at it a little longer. You felt a light tap on your shoulder so you turned around to see a short female with black hair with purple tips and beautiful wisteria eyes, she also had the same uniform as Tomioka which caught your attention mostly.

"Excuse me, I hate to interrupt but are you buying that book?" The female said as you looked down at the book.

"O-oh..no I'm not I was just admiring it!" You said and handed the book to her thinking that she would need it.

"Thank you dear." She gave you a smile and you returned it. You wanted to tell her that she reminded you of someone you knew.

"U-uhm excuse me.. Miss!" You said making the female hault and turn her attention towards you.

"Hmm?" She said humming in a response.

"Your uniform.. I've seen someone like you have that same uniform.." You pointed out to her and she gave you a little surprised look.

"Are you a.. Samurai?" That was the only thing that popped in your head.

"I am a demon slayer. I slayer demons if you are wondering." The girl had the same smile on and she turned her body facing you fully.

'Demons!?...so they all have the same uniform.. And that's what Tomioka is too..these were the people Douma was warning me about..' You thought in your mind as gave a surprised look to the female.

"May I ask for your name?" The girl said making you snap out of your little trance.

"O-oh..my name is L/n Y/n..." You said with a slight blush of embarrassment.

"What a lovely name.. I am Kocho Shinobu." You looked at her with a little more blush from the compliment.

"W-well thank you Shinobu, I hope we get to see each other again!" You said and she smiled at you in a response. She then bought her books and so did you, the both of you taking different parts.

You decided to stop by a shop and get some mochii. You took this opportunity to go walk around the village for a little while. You saw the wilting cherry blossoms and flowers as the fall season was coming. You stopped by a tree and sat down to eat your mochii and read your new novel.

After hours of reading your book, you were on the verge of falling asleep when you woke up. It was night time you had to get back before Douma would be frantically looking for you. You were having trouble finding your way back home because of the dark night messing with your view. You concluded you were lost.

'Dang it..' You tried to remember where you were going during the day but it was too dark. No lights on, nothing.

'Oh..I hope Douma will find me.. Or I'm dead!' You said as you decided to wonder to god who knows where.

While wondering the night still trying to find your way home you felt a strange presence close by. You checked different areas to see if anyone or anything was following you. Nothing...

"I shouldn't have read that book.." You said to yourself as you kept wondering the streets. You decided to sit by a wall and see IF Douma would come find you.

"Oh.. Please come find me Douma.." You said to yourself as you held your knees close to your chest leaning against the wall. You suddenly felt the presence you once felt in front of you. You looked up to see a.. Human?

You couldn't tell who it was that was standing in front of you practically towering over you.

"Douma?.." You stood up to see that it most certainly wasn't Douma.

"I-...i.." You stuttered as you saw the eyes of the Upper moon 1...

You stood there frozen in your place confused why the upper moon one was right in front of you. He didn't say anything but reach for his sword that he had on the left side of his waist.

'Oh no.. ' You thought to yourself as you felt that you were gonna die. Within a blink of an eye the Uppermoon on made an attack toward should but you felt very much alive. You felt like you were in the hands of someone, so you looked up.

You saw Douma holding you BRIDAL STYLE with a protective stance.

"Oh my! What ever is the meaning of this Kokushibo-dono?" Douma said as he eyed the number one. You turned your attention to the upper moon one. You noticed that you were farther away from where you were, Douma acted quick this time.

".. Why are you protecting the human?.." The Uppermoon said turning his body facing the both of you.

"Why? That is none of your business.." Douma said with a sassy tone. The Uppermoon one knowed as Kokushibo didn't reply taking it sort of offensive.

".. The master wouldn't be pleased.." He said towards Douma.

"Am I the first to figure this little secret out of yours?" Kokushibo said making a blank face towards him. Douma had to think for one hot sweaty second.

"No.. Do you think Id tell anyone this little secret of mine?.." He said trying to act like his cocky way while lying.

"..." The Uppermoon didn't respond right away thinking as well if Douma would be lying or not.

"Very well then.." And just like that the number one took his leave. He was gone.

".. Wow"
