Diluc Deals with Drunks

Good morning/ afternoon/ evening/ night.

Diluc sits on the counter, praying that he'll finally get normal late night customers. He glances at the clock and it's getting late.

"Tonight's my lucky-"

"MORNING! AHH WHAT'S IN STORE FOR TODAY!"

Diluc groaned. If Venti was here, maybe it would just be him-

"Evening, Diluc~!" Kaeya walks in and takes his seat.

Diluc's back still turned to the entrance, he prays to Barbatos that it's only those two.

"Seriously, why are we even here, Venti!! You know traveler gets turned away from every bar!" Another familiar voice chirps in... Paimon?

Diluc turns his head to find Aether and Paimon clearly getting dragged by Venti.
Diluc's shoulders loosen and he feels a little more calm.
If Aether's here then he could only hope that he would reel in the other two.

"That's correct, those who are under 21 cannot drink on these premises." Diluc states bluntly.

Aether and Paimon give each other a knowing look, both aware that Aether is well over 500 years old but keeping their mouth shut anyway.

"C'mon Diluccc~~~! Lighten up a bit! Traveler has only been to your tavern on business orders, now he gets to finally taste the sweet sensation, commonly called wine!" Venti seemed proud of himself for "convincing" Diluc.

"Still, no." Diluc glares.

Venti looks irritated along with Kaeya.

"Aww fine, I'll just take the usual" Venti slumps into the bar stool with a pouty face.

Traveler and Paimon both let out a small chuckle as Paimon berates the 'tone deaf bard' as she calls him.
Diluc's short lived 'irritation' was replaced by actual irritation when Kaeya sits in front of him.

"Got any grape juice?" Kaeya asks, poking fun at Diluc's preferred drink.

He rolls his eyes and starts to fix a drink that Kaeya and Venti normally like.
He glances over to the traveler who's scanning the shelves for an alchohol free beverage, not having much luck. It's a bar after all.

Diluc pours a glass of grape juice and sets another cup aside for traveler.
Traveler willingly drinks the fruit juice.

The night proceeds as smooth as mountains. The usual.
Venti and Kaeya drink an inhuman amount and Rosaria finally gets of her shift at the church.
The traveler did not calm them down as he had hoped but was instead playfully harassed by the drunks.

Traveler rightfully excused himself to the bathroom after Venti had made a suggestive joke on behalf of his cropped shirt.
Diluc sighed as he watched traveler scurry away to the restroom in embarrassment.

He turned his back and started to clean the glasses that the trio had somehow managed to clear out within an hour.
He felt a sudden uneasy-ness as he heard little chuckles

"noooo! don't do that~!!! do it."

"ehe! that's so mean!!!! do it again-"

Diluc slowly turned his head as he saw the trio hurriedly sit up straight as if they had never done a wrong in the world.
He opened his mouth to say something until Traveler walked out of the bathroom, face still a little flushed, and sat at the table.

Diluc thought nothing of it until he saw Traveler's glass filled with something. Diluc never gave Traveler a refill which meant...

Traveler took a large gulp of the drink and visibly cringed at the bitter taste.
The three had put alcohol in the cup.

Diluc shot a glare at the three who held in their snickers as much as possible.
Diluc massaged his temples.

As Diluc turned to Traveler, ready to take the drink from him, he sees Traveler... gulping down the glass, clearly forcing himself.

"Thank you for the grape juice!" Traveler said, feeling his stomach churn from whatever he just drank.

Diluc snatches the glass and very forcibly whacks the trio of drunks.
Kaeya and Venti have a look of 'it was worth it' in their eyes while Rosaria was off in her own world.

In the end, Traveler got drunk after a while and the three idiots encouraged it.
Diluc wondered if he was ever truly going to get paid in mora.
