So You Were Different?

Silently Panic

     First day back. Its all new, but they look the same. "Hey! New girl!" The Jock of the school Jack called out to me. I froze in my tracks thinking 'Does he not recognize me?'

"Excuse me?" Jack said grabbing my shoulder. "Sorry, do I know you?" I said acting clueless. I see his friends close behind him laughing at Jack's eagerness to get the "new girl" maybe. He starts trying to flirt with me because he thinks I'm a new student and gullible. He starts to corner me on the lockers until out of the corner of my eye I see someone hit their hand on the locker in between me and Jack.

"Leave her alone." The well known Loner, Erin says. She grabs my hand and leads me away from the Jocks and towards her friend group. "Bad day to wear a cheer uniform Princesa" Erin said dragging me closer.

When we reached her friends she sat down on the window sill motioning me to sit next to her. Her friend with short ginger curly hair asked "Who's that? Your girlfriend?". I blushed harshly turning towards the window to hide my flushed face. Erin hesitated for a second to look at her friend with pink tinted cheeks before saying "No I just met her." Erin says not taking her gaze off me. Her friend started laughing at Erin's response thinking she was lying because of how she was looking at me.

"So your 'friend'?" Erin's friend teased. "Yes Jenny my friend." Erin said slightly annoyed. I turn my head after calming myself down and see her friend smirking. "Whats your name love?" Erin asks me. "U-um Hazel." I stutter looking at her realizing we're making eye contact.

We made eye contact for a minute before her friends start laughing at nothing. " So, Hazel, why so I feel like I've seen you before?" A girl next to Jenny says.

My expression changes when she asked me and I started to silently panic.
