KIM NAMJOON HAD ALWAYS THOUGHT OF LOVE AS AN ABSTRACT CONCEPT,
even though he was an author himself who wrote general fiction novels. Sure, it felt very real in his books- but it was fiction after all, and he had never actually experienced what romantic love felt like.
He wanted his books to feel realistic, so he based them on his parents, his friends, basically anything around him and wrote. With two novels of his triology already published, for the last book, he just wanted to finish it off and end the readers' curiosity.
However, that meant that he had to end it with a kiss scene, and to write a kiss scene that seemed realistic, he needed to have experienced one. He could easily write about love, it was everywhere. Maybe his love for crabs, small and cute things, nature or riding a bike- or the platonic love he had for his friends. He had love in his life, the platonic kind, but he had never kissed anyone.
That's why he felt like the best person to ask for him to kiss him would be his editor, Seol Jaehyun, and he asks him for one without any filter.
Little did he know that something that was just meant to be a favour would spark feelings in both of their hearts, and they would be tangled in the eternal mess called love.
