I stood still. Frozen. I was too far away for Laurie to hear my desperate calls. What could I do? There was nowhere to run and nowhere to hide.
He started advancing towards me. I wasn't imagining this time. It was really him.
I took off towards the car, running as fast as my legs would carry me, I looked behind me. He was getting closer and I started yelling again.
"Laurie! Help! He's here!" I screamed.
Still too far away. She couldn't hear me.
Then I felt a blow to the small of my back. I yelped in pain a I fell to the ground. I struggled to get free, he punched me in the stomach. It took my breath away and I couldn't breathe as I felt the fight go out of me. I just laid there still and listened.
" Wow, you haven't changed a bit. You look just like your mother did before I killed her and now that I have you here I can do the same to you." he said.
" Why are you doing this?" I asked crying.
" Doing what? Why did I kill your mother or why am I going to kill you?"
" Both! Why?"
" Well, you see, that bitch was just getting on my nerves. I ended her nagging for good. Now, I'm going to kill you because the way I see it, if you would have listened when I told you to go home with a friend, then you wouldn't have saw me and I wouldn't be a wanted man right now."
I didn't know how to respond to that. I laid there in silence while I cried. I couldn't move. Where was Laurie? She should've been over here by now.
" Now here is what you are going to do. You are going I. Come with me and we are going to go back to where I have been staying. Ready?" my father stated.
" No! I'm not going anywhere with you! LAURIE!! HELP!!!"
He proceeded to get up and kick me and that stopped my cries and knocked me out. the last thin I remember was him picking me up and taking off running.
