"Alright, I think that's it." I exclaimed to myself while looking at 2 boxes full with papers, dark inks, and other magical stuff for the Grand Master Sage. Now it's time to lift it all up...

I detached my sword on my waist and sling it over my shoulder, making the sword hanging on my back. Then, I lift one of the wooden box that doesn't have a lid on it and place it on the other one that has. After taking a deep breath I grab onto the bottom box and lift all of them up to my hip. I take a step back to regain my balance, and since I can slightly look over the boxes I slowly take a step up the swirling flights of stairs. At first I need to look down pass the boxes everytime I took the next step but slowly I caught up on the rythem and starts speeding up.

The sound of my leather scabbard hitting me and the rustle of the items inside the boxes echoes throughout the hollow tower every time I take a step. Vertical rectangular wholes were made as windows for each 4 sides of the tower equally spaced and height to each other, and every pass you make. Each passes that I made, I was greeted with a warm breeze and glow of the evening mid autumn.

A moment has passed and I can feel my back starts to giving up. I reach to the next window. Gently, I place down the boxes, and lean on to the turret wall. I can feel the warm wall of the tower pass through my thin white shirt, on to my sweat drenched back.

"How far is it left....?" I ask myself. I got up walk towards the wooden barricade and look up. I can see the platform and partially the door near the top. Yes, almost there. Then, I look down and saw sun rays pass through the holes dimly illuminate the inside of the tower with sunset yellow. I back away from the edge, lift up the boxes and continue walking up the stairs.

After reaching the top, I put the boxes and knock on the door.

"Hello, Grand Master Sage YooDooVah? I'm Rook with your supplies." I call out, still catching my breath.

"Coming!" A muffled sound of a man came from the other side. I backed away from the door and lift up the boxes. I can hear footsteps slowly approaching the door. Then, the door slowly opens wide revealing an old man in his mid 60s, in a white robe. His white beard reaches the floor, and his partially bald hair are white.

"Oho, it's you. Come in, come in." He turns and gesture me to come in.

"Sorry for intruding..." I say, while following him in. I took of my boots and socks, place it on a shoe rack inside right beside other boots and flip flops.

"You're so modest, Rook. It's not like it's your first time here. Here, I'll take it from here. He says.
With a gesture of his hand, the heavy boxes start to become so light and then floats. I slowly back away and saw the content of the boxes floats away to it's own places. Some goes right into the shelves and cabinets, and some are neatly arrange on top of a table. It's a large circle room, works stations on the left relative to the main door, to the right there's a set of roundtable under a window that overlooks the town, and 3 door equally spaced between them opposite of the front door.

"Come now, would you like a cup of tea? A cube of sugar or two?"

"Ah, s-sure. A cube please." I replied. I left my sword beside the shoe rack and made way to the roundtable. I sat down look out the window. The town looks so small from here, but you still can see people bustling around to finish some of their works and affairs. The trees' orange leaves blends in with the building roof and ruffles as the autumn wind breeze through them, some of the leaves slowly falls and covered the roads. The voices of people chattering are more clearer from up here.....

"Alright, her you go..." I snapped back from daydream turn my attention to Master Sage carring a teapot with 2 chinese cup and a glass of cube sugar on a tray. I quickly get out of my sit and gently reach the tray.

"Let me help you with that..." I say, almost to a whisper. Gently, he pass the tray to me. Then, he take a sit opposite of mine. I gentle put the tray on the table and starts servicing the tea cups and tea. I poured his first then mine, I grab a cub of sugar and put it in my tea.

"Thank you, Rook. You know that I can do it by my own, right?" He ask with a smile.

"Well, yea I'm sorry. Couldn't help myself." I sat down and take a sip from the tea. The sweatness of the sugar replenishes my energy, while the aromatic tea relaxes my racing heart. I stare down my tea before I take another sip. I caught a glimpse at the corner of my eyes a worried face of Master Sage. I put down my tea and ask, "Uh.... Is something wrong, Grand Master Sage?"

His worried expression changes to a more "I see" kind of expression. He take another sip before starts replying.

"Has something worrying you,Rook? You seem restless today."

"I-I.....Hmm...."

I stutters, looking down the unagitated tea. I took a deep breath and give me reasoning.

"I-I just..... worried...."

"Worried of what?" He ask back, this time with a worried tone...

I know I'm bad at hiding my thoughts

"I'm just worried about the peace that we have now, might.......might be gone in an instance... A-And I'm afraid that i couldn't do anything to stop it from happening..." I can feel my voice starts to crack.

"I understand your feeling, but you need to understand that if it happens and you can't prevent it that means it is bound to happen, written down in the world's history. Yes, it may demoralizing and will haunts you but it doesn't mean that it will turn everything for the worst. Maybe, it will help you to be more prepare next time if it happens again. Now, let the past be history and the future be a myster, enjoy what it is today as gift, like a present." He smiles and take another sip from his tea.

Yeah, he's right. What he just said may have not get rid this anxious feeling. But, it will help in the future. I raise my cup of tea take a long sip, enjoying every second of it's sweetness and calming aroma.
