*thump. . . thump. . . thump. . .*
The moving van opens. You go outside the moving van to be greeted by your mom.
Mom: "We're finally here, [player]! It must be tiring sitting in the truck with all our things being moved in. Well, this is LITTLEROOT TOWN. How do you like it? This is our new home! It has a quaint feel, but it seems to be an easy place to live, don't you think? Plus, you get your room, so come on, let's go in!" You walk inside your home. "See? Isn't it nice in here? The mover's POKèMON help us tidy up! This is so convenient! Your room is upstairs, go check it out, dear! DAD bought you a new clock to mark our arrival here. Don't forget to set it! You start walking up the stairs, hearing the tip-taps of your shoes. You set the clock to 10:48 AM, and go to your PC. You then withdraw the POTION from the PC. Your mom walks in. "So, how do you like your new room? Good! Everything is put away neatly! The good thing is they also finished moving downstairs, too. They're so convenient! Oh, by the way, you should make sure everything is on your desk. Both you and her walk down. "Oh! [player, player]! Come quickly!" You go to the television and see PETALBURG GYM. "Maybe your dad will be on!"
INTERVIEWER: ". . . We brought you this report from in front of PETALBURG GYM."
"Oh, it's over. I think your DAD was on, but we missed him, too bad. Oh, yes. One of DAD's friends lives in town. PROF. BIRCH is his name. He lives right next door, so you should go over and introduce yourself." Your mom then sits down. You go out and take a deep breath. You walk to the Lab and stop to read a sign.
"LITTLEROOT TOWN: A town that can't be shaded by any hue."
You enter the lab. . . but nobody is there. So, you decide to go to the next-door neighbor's house.
". . !" A woman walks up to you. "Oh, and you are?. . oh, you're [player], the new next-door neighbor! Hi. We have a kid the same age and height as you. Our kid was excited to meet a new friend! They're upstairs I think." You walk up to his room and see a POKèBALL laying on the floor. You go closer to pick it up when: "Hey! You! Who are you?. .oh, you're [player] aren't you? Did you move in next door right? I didn't know that you were a [male/female]. My dad, PROF. BIRCH said that our new next-door neighbor is a GYM LEADER'S kid, so I'd assume you'd be a [guy/gal]. My name's [BRENDAN/MAY]. So, hi neighbor! Huh, don't you have a POKèMON? Do you want me to go catch you one? Aw, darn, I forgot. . . I'm supposed to go help my dad catch some wild POKèMON. Some other time, kay?" BRENDAN/MAY walks to their computer and sits down. You go down the stairs, and out the door. You walk into the lab and see a scientist. "Huh? PROF. BIRCH? The PROF's away on fieldwork. Ergo, he isn't here." You go to Route 101 when you hear: "H-help me!" You quickly dash to the screaming and see PROF. BIRCH being attacked by a ZIGZAGOON! "Hey! You over there! Please, help! In my bag is a POKèBALL!" You see some POKèBALLS. Which to choose?
——-IF YOU CHOSE TREECKO——-

A wild ZIGZAGOON appeared! You send out TREECKO!
TREECKO jumps on a tree and quickly pounds ZIGZAGOON, but it dodges and counter-attacks TREECKO. It gets hurt a little, and it gets pushed back. TREECKO does some front flips and lands on the ZIGZAGOON, pinning it down on the floor, as it slams it with its tail multiple times. The ZIGZAGOON faints, and TREECKO gains some EXP. TREECKO climbs up your shoulder. "Tre- treecko!"

——-IF YOU CHOSE TORCHIC——

A wild ZIGZAGOON appeared! You send out TORCHIC!
TORCHIC dashes to the ZIGZAGOON and scratches it with its claws. The ZIGZAGOON gets hurt but fights back with a tackle. TORCHIC gets damaged and yet stands strong. It counter-attacks with another scratch and makes the ZIGZAGOON faint, as TORCHIC gains EXP. TORCHIC high-fives you and plucks an ORAN BERRY. "Chi-chic!"

——-IF YOU CHOSE MUDKIP——-

A wild ZIGZAGOON appeared! You send out MUDKIP!
MUDKIP bashes the ZIGZAGOON, it packs quite the punch but it is held back. It counter-attacks with a headbutt. MUDKIP is still determined to win this, so he bashes once more, making the ZIGZAGOON faint as MUDKIP gets some EXP. Mudkip chases its tail. "Mu-mu-mud! Kip!"
