the sound of waves crashing into eachother always calms you down. the sky was as clear as glass, you could see hundreds maybe even thousands of stars shining up in the sky.

you hugged your knees, getting into a comfortable sitting position on top of the soft sand. it was midnight, and you couldn't get your mind off things

the beach always helped you clear your thoughts, especially during the night time. the relaxing sounds of waves, perfect.

tilting your head up to see the sky, a soft smile appeared on your face. why do you like hanging out alone at the beach especially at night? is the relaxing sounds of the crashing waves and the calmness of being alone really the true answer?

no it wasn't.

"it's been years, why can't i forget about you."

closing your eyes, you hugged your knees tighter. what happened to you? and who is the 'you' that you were referring to?

is it him?

"I'm sorry for not visiting you, i was scared that i might lose control." a deep sigh left your lips.

"do you still remember me? do you still think about me? because fuck, i can't seem to take you off my mind"

"do you remember when you said you'd marry me when we get older?"

"(Y/N)! i promise I'll marry you when we get old!" the ramen haired boy said with much confidence

"pinkie promise?"

"yeah!" the both kids intertwined their pinkie fingers, promising something thats impossible

"god, remember when you brought me to your room with Hanma? those posters still traumatized me you know" smiling to yourself.

"why do you have such inappropriate posters of adult females Kazu?" you looked at him with eyes full of concern

"uh- i- uh" the boy couldn't bring out an answer

"nice room you got eh" the taller boy interrupted with a slight smirk planted on his face

"remember when you told me about, your plans? the one i refused to help you with. i still have the scar" you felt empty

saying all these things out loud, you can still feel the pain in your chest. full of regrets and unanswered questions.

"god i wished i could turn back time"

you couldn't even shed a tear, you felt so empty. nobody was there with you. you barely talk to anyone after the incident happened.

the sound of soft sand being stepped on made you snap back to reality

looking at the sound where the footsteps were heard, there stood a man with long hair.

curiousity got you

you squinted your eyes to see better.

that man, he looked so familiar.

but thats not possible, he died in front of you.

the moonlight adjusted on his figure. he just stood there looking at you

you couldn't see much but you knew
by his silky hair being pushed by the wind and the length of his hair.

that was him

your childhood friend

slowly rising from the soft sand, you felt tears forming in your eyes.

everything around you felt empty

all you could see is him.

walking your way to him, you immediately pull his body in a hug.

it feels like him, it smells like him. you sobbed into the unknown man's chest. wrapping your arms around his body as you pulled him closer.

"why did you leave me alone?" you said in between sobs.

after letting out some loud cries, you felt odd

who is this man?

your chest felt heavy, giving you a gut feeling.

you quickly pulled back to look at his face.

who is he?

is he really Keisuke?

or he's just some stranger who has long hair

the moonlight adjusted on his face, showing his true identity. of course, Keisuke died long ago.

you slightly open your mouth

no words left your lips as you stare at the man, internally shaking not believing that the guy thats standing infront of you is someone you were close to.

someone that you loved deeply.

you felt pain in your eyes as

the wind blew, slightly pushing the man's long hair back. the moonlight shines even brighter now. revealing his face oh

you felt a slight sting in your heart as you run to his arms again. fully knowing who he actually is

his heart ached when you called his name. you missed and remembered him. he thought you forgot about him long ago since you never payed him a visit.

he was quite hurt by that

he didnt hug back. he thinks that he doesn't deserve anything after everything he did to you.

"don't die on me Kei! we still have a lot to do, and you promised to go visit my grandparents tomorrow!" tears streamed down your face

you cupped his cheeks "please Kei..."

he looked dead.

he lost too much blood. so much that his face went pale. his bloodied lips turned into a small smile

"Chifuyu, I'd die for peyoung yakisoba. lets split it in half yeah?"

"(Y/N)... i feel so light, my eyes are tired." he said closing his eyes "thank you for everything (Y/N), Chifuyu."

you sat there, breathing heavily not knowing what to do as more tears spilled out from your eyes
