Have you ever wondered what its like having strict parents? Sure, they don't sound that bad. I mean it either goes one of two ways: strict parents that are just protective and care for you, or the helicopter strict parents who always want to know your buisness and have your trust but also yell at you 24/7. Take a guess of which parents I have. Well, you are probably right from what you have heard so far. Did you guess the heicopter parents because if you did then you're correct. The best way I can describe it is like a little bug always next to your ear. Buzzing. Buzzing. Buzzing. Always making noise. Annoying you from the constant buzz. You just want to swat it away and get rid of it but you can't always do that. That, that is how I would describe my parents. Of course there are moments where you love them or forget they are there but 75% of the time all you hear is that buzzing. Chatter, Chatter, Chatter is all you here. Always talking about what you did wrong, what you're not grateful for, how you should change, and eventually you just learn that is how life is going to be. Crying yourself to sleep everyother night, being good at lying, distancing yourself from the world, zoning out 24/7, learning to stuff your feelings down and silently cry, getting used to being judged even in your own house, and knowing how to put on a fake face everyday. All you want to do is escape and get out and explore the real world. Meet your real friend group and never have to see them again, but at the same time you're scared. Yes, scared. You don't know why you're scared but you just are. Maybe it is because even though you don't like them how you are supposed too, you always feel somewhat secure. Sure, they judge you and make you feel like crap 75% of the time, but that 15% is like a type of love and relationship no one else will have. Eventually you know at the end of the day that they will protect and you and when they are gone, you will miss that buzzing and be drowned in silence regretting that you didn't take advantage of the pesky bug more.
