3rd person POV
Echo looked around in awe while the three people who dragged her there smiled proudly.
"This is..?"
"yes."
She regained her consciousness and cleared her throat.
"Amazing" she mumbled loud enough so that they could hear.
Estella grinned.
The woman had always enjoyed it when someone loved the academy's look.
The academy was lovely.
Chandeliers hanging on the ceiling with black jewels hanging around it.
The walls had some sort of logo, a beautiful starry-like logo carved on few of the walls.
The floor was clean and seemed very ancient.
As so the stairs and doors.
Then she heard a squeaky voice coming from beside her.
She turned to look who or actually what it was and almost,
almostalmost screamed. Yet, she just let out a quiet surprised yelp that wasn't loud enough to wake the whole academy.
A small bearded man was standing between them.
His ears were pointy and seemed to have big feet.
The headmistress stifled a laugh and coughed to cover up.
Meanwhile, Amy and Alyce was snickering secretly.
Echo stared at the small man before he spoke up.
"It's rude to stare, girl" he grumbled but it came out very squeaky instead of scary.
"sorry but uh if you don't mind what- i mean uh whadsghajjljkdks... are you?"
The small man looked at her like she's crazy and looked at the others next.
Miss headmistress just nodded slowly giving him an apologetic smile while he looks pissed.
He cleared his throat and began to speak.
"I am Hubert. A dwarf." He said.
Echo laughed. "He's joking right?"
but no one seemed to have humor on their faces.
"oh."
Everything was quiet as she loaded her mind.
1 second passes
and 2
and 3
and what it seemed like eternity she finally talked.
"How...?" Echo didn't finish her sentence.
She didn't know what to say.
Yes, she had witnessed magic.
and now a small man was saying he's a dwarf.
A dwarf.
Estella cleared her throat.
"Magical and mythical creatures had always existed. We just decided to hide them from humans. As they're.... just not.. 'good'."
"'We'?" The curious girl asked ignoring the fact the headmistress basically just said humans suck.
"Yes, we."
"Who is 'We'?"
"The councils"
"What?"
Estella sighed.
"The councils.
They decide things.
And right now I have to bring you to them so you can enter the academy.
This place isn't like any other places you've been before, dear.
So forget everything that you think you know of. Science, Chemistry, and especially history.
You'll be staying with Miss Amy and Alyce.
They will show you the dorms and how this place works.
Now forgive me I have to register you in first I will see you later , get some sleep for now children" She explained with a small forced smile and went, or 'whooshed' away with the small man.
Echo was still blank until Alyce snapped her out of her trance.
"Hey! come with us we'll show you our dorms" She said cheerfully.
The raven haired girl looked up and nodded slowly following them before having a one last look at the big door behind her.
It was carved with the same symbol.
Gold.
The handle looked heavy.
Echo looked back after a few seconds, and caught up with the two best friends.
This was the moment she knew her life wasn't the same.
