At a church a member of the church is mopping while listening to the radio Y/n then walks in and listen to the radio.
(Flashback) A young Y/n is sitting in a truck reading a book until the door opens up and a couple of teenagers pulls him out at throw him to a fence.
Kid: Come on, Kent! Come on! Fight back! Get up kent!
The kid then goes for a swings as Y/n flinches and holds the post.
Kid: Oh, so is that it? Is that all you've got? Come on, Kent! Come on!
A kid then pulls the other kid back as he point behind and sees Jonathan and a man watching them. The group of kids walk off as Pete walks up to Y/n and helps him up. Not noticing the post now bent. Pete then walks off when Jonathan appears.
Jonathan: Did they hurt you?
Y/n: You know they can't.
Jonathan: That's not what I meant. I mean are you all right?
Y/n: I wanted to hit that kid. I wanted to hit him so bad.
Jonathan: I know you did. Part of me wanted you to but then what? Make you feel any better? You just have to decide what kind of man you want to grow up to be. Y/n. Because whoever that man is good character or bad he's... he's gonna change the world.
(End of flashback) Man: What's on your mind?
Y/n then sits down as the man sits down across him as Y/n looks towards the man.
Y/n: I don't know where to start.
Man: Wherever you want.
Y/n: That ship that appeared last night. I'm the one they're looking for.
Man: Do you know... why they want you?
Y/n: No but this General Zod... Even if I surrender. There's no guarantee he'll keep his word, but... if there's a chance I could save earth by turning myself in...shouldn't I take it?
Man: What does your gut tell you?
Y/n: Zod can't be trusted. The problem is... I'm not sure the people of earth can be either.
Y/n then gets up and slowly walks towards the door but the man quickly gets up.
Man: Sometimes you have to take a leap of faith first. The trust part comes later.
... Later the military ready their gear as they aim up towards the sky where Y/n is floating above them.

A car then pulls up as General Ross and nick fury exit them and walk forward.
Fury: All right. You've got our attention. What is it you want?
Y/n: I would like to speak with Natasha romanoff.
Ross: What makes you think she's here?
Y/n: Don't play games with me. General I'll surrender. But only if you guarantee I'll speak to her.
