Fall, when all of our flowers are fading away. When these trees are losing there color, the green fading away by yellow. It should be bittersweet, right? Well, it would be, if Chuseok's renewal times weren't here to save you. In the middle of this seasons' bitterness, you were able to watch yourself smiling by the side of the people you love.

Enjoying every thing you loved except one.

People tend to forget the times that once held their breath, which were the reason of their survival everyday, which were like a comfort in the days of hardship, and which felt so warm in the days of frost. You think you forgot them, that you left all that behind but it comes rushing back, the moment you lay eyes on them. Once again when the destiny plays with you, once again when the universes join to serve their purpose, to join the two hearts which drifted away.

And you knew that's exactly what happened with you too, when you spotted the blurry figure of that person approaching you in that hustling crowd. Taehyung. Your breath hitched, on seeing him, after so many years, after so much time.

Your eyes met.

Not a moment passed, and he was advanced in your direction. The time seemed to slow down, like one of those cliché scenes in the movies, where everything seemed to blur in that moment and all you could see was him, the one. He was there, you could see it, right in front of you.

"Taehyung..." I intended to call him but my lips could barely get out a whisper. His hands slowly grazed the lining of my face, as if he was trying to remember every detail, and I knew he remembered every point, every part of my heart, cause it was all full of him, not a speck left for anything else.

His eyes stared deeply in mine. They held so much in them, so much love, so much care and so much adoration. He didn't need words, didn't need them to convey what he wanted, didn't need them to ask how I was doing, his eyes did everything. And amidst the hustle bustle of the world, I managed to crack a smile, a smile which he knew was true, for him. The wind blew, managing to blow a strand of hair over my face. He chuckled and my heart melted at the sound of his deep voice, the voice that I could only hear from the recordings he created or from our numerous memories which were still embedded in my head.

His gaze held mine and in a second, I found myself in his warm embrace, my head pressed against his chest. His warm breath hit my neck, and all I could think about was this moment, the moment I have waited for from past three years, that's when that happened. The memories come rushing back, his words that day echoing in my head, and no matter how much I tried, I couldn't stop my tears. My eyes watered, remembering the day which changed everyone's life, especially ours.

"Don't cry y/n...I am right here." i tightened my grip on his shirt, because I knew he'll go, that he'll not stay again. He faced me, his gaze softening at the sight of my tears.

"You'll go, I know that!" I burst into fit of tears, my lips quivering.

"Shhh, I'll never leave you."

But I knew he'll leave, he didn't have any other choice. The universe was on our side today but not all days are same, after the sunny days, the winter has to come, and you have to go through it. Destiny doesn't work out for everyone.

"I remember a place that you'll love, let's go there." I found myself getting dragged, his grip firm on my wrist, a habit of his imprinted in my heart.

The people were staring at me like I was crazy, but this moment was too precious to focus on the world. We didn't stop, our hands intertwined and our feet not stopping. He looked towards me, his boxy smile appearing on his face, and without knowing my lips too curved into a smile. We arrived at a familiar place, the memories again hitting. The place we first met, the place he confessed. Though the leaves were now reddish-brown and were falling, it still seemed so beautiful. He looked at me and i smiled widely even if my eyes were glossy.

We sat there, our fingers laced and watched the evening turn darker, the sky emerging a darker shade, soon stars appearing. We stood up to go back.

He turned towards me, the sky reflected in his eyes, drowning me inside them. His hand wrapped around my waist pulling me closer and I pressed my hands against his chest. His gaze on me was so deep that I forgot everything, that how we both were so broken, how we would never see each other again. He leaned closer, his breath warm and the moment our lips met, I melted, all my thoughts flying away.

Tears flowed from our eyes because we knew how bittersweet that moment was, because after this we'll never meet. And when I opened my eyes, I found myself staring into the eyes of a person, a person who gave me a million sweet memories, a person who gave me one bitter memory, the one moment which embedded into my heart so vividly that all the sweetness was stained by it. So vividly that whenever I thought about our fond moments, the bitterness managed to sneak it's way into the depth of my heart. That one memory, that one moment in which he was snatched away from me, snatched away by death.

The accident that day changed our lives, Taehyung and I couldn't do anything but stare. And on this day of Chuseok I am losing you again.

He started disappearing into specks of dust, emerging in those stars which I adored from my birth. Now he is one of them.

And in the middle of the frosty evening, under the starry sky, even when he faded into the silence of night, his eyes still held warmth, the warmth which will always be mine. The warmth which no death, no destiny can take away.
