"Simme, Simme. Wake up. Simon" someone was shaking him, gently . Simon opened one eye to look who it was. He couldn't recognize them, because he was too sleepy.
It was his mom.
"Mi amor, wake up. The breakfast is ready. And it's almost eleven o'clock." She gave him a heart-warming and genuine smile.
He was grateful, that he had a mom, friends and sister who are always supportive of him.
He groaned, but eventually got up. Changed into a pair of black baggy jeans and a white sweatshirt.
The sweatshirt was from Wille.
Simon missed him. So so much, that you can't even imagine. He hoped- no, wanted Wilhelm to feel the same. He wasn't sure if the prince really ment what he wrote yesterday.
A single tear rolled down his cheek.
The thought of them cuddled up while they were watching movies, and Simon constantly wearing his boyfriend's sweatshirts made him emotional. But he didn't want to take the sweatshirt off. He kept it on.
"Hurry up, Simon." Sara shouted from the dining room. He went there and sat next to his mother.
They started eating, there was silence, no one was talking. It was kinda uncomfortable, so the boy decided to open a topic.
"So...you and August are dating?" He looked his sister right in the eyes.
She kept her eyes glued to her plate.
"Yes, how do you know?" She was facing her brother now.
"Well, yesterday when you left your phone in the living room to go to the toilet, a message from him came. It had a red heart next to his name and he called you 'baby'. Also he said that he loved you. So I assumed you were dating."
Linda didn't say anything. She just sat there and tried to process what's happening.
"And he said something about some rooms for you and me. What are these rooms?" He continued.
Sara looked anxious. Her leg started shaking. "He- he offered us dorm rooms in Hillerska and I a-agreed." She looked even more stressed.
Simon knew she was lying. "You're lying, Sara. Why? And why didn't you tell me about you and August. We promised to tell eachother everything."
He reached out his hand to hold Sara's hand.
"Yeah, I mean, I don't really like him, but I wouldn't prevent your relationship."
"Simon, we need to talk." She looked her brother dead in the eye.
Linda got the signs and left the room.
"Okay, Simon. I'm going to tell you the whole story. I can't hide it anymore." She took a deep breath. The boy was just sitting there and waiting for her to say something.
"You remember when you and Wilhelm's sex tape got leaked?" He nodded his head. How could he forget?
"I saw August leaking it."
Simon couldn't believe what he just heard. He went furious.
"WHAT?!" He got up from the chair and his eyes widened. "YOU KNEW ALL THIS TIME AND DIDN'T TELL ME? ON TOP OF THAT YOU'RE DATING HIM?!" He yelled.
"Simon, let me finish. Then you can be mad as you can, please."
He gestured to her to continue.
"He leaked it and it blew on the internet. One night I went to his room to confront him, he asked me what I want to not tell you and Wille. I said that I wanted a dorm in Hillerska. He agreed then-" She stopped for a minute. "-then we made out."
Simon went silent. "Why, Sara? Why did you do this to me? What did I do to you?" He whispered, Sara barely heard him.
"Don't you understand how hard this is for me? Not having friends, everyone outing you, making fun of you, mocking you, thinking you're a freak, huh?" She rised her voice.
"What about me? Don't you get what you did to me? What damage you, both of you, did to me and Wilhelm?" He replied with the same tone.
His was crying now, but he didn't care.
"I'm sorry." His sister whispered.
"No, Sara. I don't forgive you. You were suppost to be my sister." He looked at her for one last time and went to his room.
He grabbed his phone and called Wilhelm.
A minute and a half later, he lost hope. Wilhelm wasn't going to open.
"Hello? Simon?" He heard a soft voice from the other line.
"Wille. Wille, it was August. August was the one who leaked the tape. He was the one who made us go through this. He made us break up."
Wilhelm didn't say anything for a long time.
"I know. Felice told me. She found out by the dead pixels in his camera. I confronted him, told him he wasn't part of my family. Then called my mom and she knew. And didn't tell me."
"You knew too? And didn't even make the effort to tell me?" Simon was sobbing. Barely anything could be heard from what he said.
"Simon-" Wilhelm was cut. Simon hung up the phone on Wille's face.
He couldn't believe it. He didn't want to, either. His closest two people knew about this and didn't tell him, lied to him.
His mother tried to make him feel better, but it didn't work.
Wilhelm tried to call him a few times, Simon didn't answered.
Sara didn't talk with him. She couldn't even look at him, not after what she did to him. She knew this would end like this, but she couldn't do it earlier.
"Mi amor, how are you feeling?" Linda entered his room. He just shook his head and shrugged his shoulders.
She brought him cookies and hot cocoa. His favourites, but didn't make his mood any better.
She put them on the nightstand and kissed his head, then left.
The boy cried himself to sleep. Eventually fell asleep, but with tear stains on his soft cheeks.
